Indeed. Who knew that my comfort zone would change into male characters instead of female characters. :P

Ah, yes, no one has asked this before. It isn't possible for now. The secret is involved here and I can't let it out just yet...

Yes, some are invited to volunteer. CAC actually prefers to choose the people since those people would be working under them.

Thanks!
The CAC's employees are all required to take philexiphan since the Director expects them all to use their abilities to further the research. I suppose I should have mentioned that earlier. Also, I think the defecting/agents are more of a recent thing with the rise of the Sentients. And as a defector, he'd most likely be hunted down, so it probably would be better if he's a double agent.

Ah, okay. Sorry if that ruins your plans. I have this whole story/concept in my head and it's hard to translate for this group. To be honest, I'm not even sure where this group is going nowadays.

Yeah, it looks like not many people are posting very often anymore! :(
Next question. (Don't feel bad if you have to say no again. It's your story!) Would it be plausible for my scientist's wife to mysteriously die if he ticked off CAC? I'm looking for a back story that will make him bitter and indifferent.
Yes, that is definitely plausible and actually very probably. Since CAC is either taken up with crazy cruel people or people that are forced to work with them, that will definitely work.
And yes, people don't post often, though that is because those people are more inactive and there are not many people in this group anyways. It probably would be more fun if more people joined, but I think my idea is too confusing.

Yeah. I get it. It takes quite a bit of reading, and you don't want people in here that aren't willing to do their homework!
Yes, and also sabotages others and some other things. I'm thinking CAC has some espionage for sure and the government doesn't know what goes on (maybe CAC buys them off or they are fed false info or CAC has some gov't peeps).
