In what I've read so far, I have found that Maya Angelou's point of view is a very interesting one. She is very proper and sees things as segregated(which at the time, they were). She is a proud African American woman and although we can see that she was insecure about her appearance like most other girls, it doesn't hinder her a unique perspective. I can identify that this perspective is strictly a southern African American one, and would likely be very different if she grew up in a different part of the country.Overall, I see Maya Angelou being unique already, which would inevitably lead her into blossoming into the stunning poet and writer she was. Here is a question: Based on what we have read so far, do you think that the racial segregation will lead to more problems for Maya in the future?
