Ursula Kallio | 8 comments I read books in multiple languages. For example, when I simultaneously read English and Finnish versions of a book, goodreads considers the books to be duplicates. Why?

Note, I cannot add https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... to my shelf because I have an English version already. What is the workaround to add books that are indeed unique (based on ISBN) to a bookshelf?

Ursula Kallio | 8 comments The hack that I just found is to go to My Books and search for the book in question there rather than using the main search field. This is a usability bug.

Yes, you can. See https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/7...

However, this is not a librarian issue, nor something librarians can do anything about. If you wish to discuss this further, please start a thread in the Feedback Group, or you may prefer to use the Contact Us link on the Help page. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or related issues. Closing thread.
