The king of a great nation takes hatred on the southern nations, capturing innocent citizens of the southern colonies. Girl A is imprisoned by the king's orders, terrified, she quickly sits herself in the corner, watching the guards walk by. After a few days, Girl A continues to sit in silence but trys knocking on the rock wall of her cell. A voice appears (Guy A) and it comes from the other side of the wall in the next cell. The two converse, and though the voice next door is resisant at first, the two fall in love eventually. The king's hatred on the southerners however continues to grow and more come into the cells each day. The two now try to find a way to senak out and run away together. But will this lead to their fate?

Lucas shuffles his feet as he leans his back against the cold brick wall. His spine burns from the walls cool sinsation. He turns his eyes toward the small crack of light that shines from the thin hole in the wall and he sighs. His body feels dead and his mind with it. Closing his eyes, his ears still pick up the sounds of the crying and dying. More people come in wach day, none last long however. Lucas, being here for over three weeks has grown to it. It seems he chooses to live, that way he could mock the guards, prooving to them that even in these harsh conditions that he is still able to live. A loud thud echos in the long hallway of cells. A new crowd has come in.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Alex was paraded down the hall along with the rest of the 'new cattle'. The guards seemed all too pleased about sending in new prisoners, but Alex didn't pay attention. She had a stern expression on her face as she walked towards the cell. It was small, dark, and dingy. Despite the horrible conditions, Alex kept her head high. She was the type that fought. Ever since the new king took power, things have been torn apart and reduced to a scrap heap.

She took a seat in the cell and relaxed. For the most part she was just shaken up by the police breaking into her house, separating her from her family, and throwing her in prison....but the most part she was fine.

Lucas listened as the cell doors shut and the cries of mothers echoed the hall. The guards laughed as they finished, kicking at some of the prisoneers that hung out of their cells. Lucas heard the cell next door to him close, shaking his side of the wall as it banged shut. He leaned toward the edge of his cell to try and see over toward the cell next door, but instead got kicked in the face by a guard. "Keep inside their you filthy peasant." he said to Lucas, spitting in his cell. As the guards left, only a few voices were heard. and only the light from the candles among the ceiling shown light.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Alex heard the guard kick the person in the cell next to her. She stayed quiet until the guard was out of ear shot. "Are you alright?" she whispered from the edge of her cell. It sounded like the guard kicked pretty hard. The world was going sour, but that didn't mean she had to as well. Alex knew that the chance for survival was slim. Despite that she was prepared to fight back by surviving.

[[plot idea. What if the government is actually locking up people who have a special gene that gives them superpowers. Before they can utilize this gene, the government is trying to kill them off?]]

((ooh yes!!! That would be awesome! :D))

Lucas heard a soft voice come from the cell next to him. He wondered if he should converse back to her, or leave it alone. Sighing, as the pain swelled to his face, he replied quietly, "I'm fine.." his right cheek was hot from the light swelling, and his eye hurt to keep it open. He was curious to the voice next door, but didn't have enough guts to continue talking back to them.

message 15: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Alex continued the conversation, "that's good. Can I help with anything?" Alex didn't completely understand her situation, so she didn't worry about the possibility of getting the attention of the guards. As she leaned closer to the bars of her cell, she could see some guards harassing another prisoner further down the hall. Part of her wanted to say something...

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

Lucas didn't reply. The sounds fo the man getting beaten down the hall was too loud to talk over, and there was nothing this peron could do for him now. Once the man stopped yelling and the guards cleared out, it was silent again. There were a few voices in the distance, conversations of other prisoneers. It had become late, there was no more sun glow throug the thin crack of Lucas's cell, nor were there anymore voices. Lucas sat, leaned up against the wall, unable to sleep.

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Alex stayed up wondering what became of her new neighbor. Were they just not talkative, or were they hurt and bleeding; dying? Things swirled around in her dead until she finally passed out from exhaustion. It was a restless sleep. She tossed and turned throughout the night as a cold sweat coated her shirt. Awoken by the sound of guards, Alex rushed to the bars of her cell. The guards were dragging a prisoner out by force. It was strange to watch as the prisoner cried for help. She wondered what was happening.

[[I was thinking scientific experiments. Sorry, life got a bit busy]]

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

((its fine)) :)

Lucas was awoken by the gurds dragging yet another prisoneer away, and the worse thing was they never returned. No one understood what or why they were there, it sent shivers through Lucas's spine. As the guard walked away, and the hall became silent, Lucas knocked on the wall lightly, wondering if the neighbor was still there. Though he didn't know who was next door to him, he just wanted the sinsation of someone responding.

message 19: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Alex heard the slight knocking from her neighbor and smiled to herself. "Hey, what's up?" She asked. It was nice to know that the person was alive on the other side. "I'm Alex. What's your name?"

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

He groaned as he pulled himself up into a sitting position, scooting closer toward the cell door. He smiled as he replied softly, "Well, I'm living." hearing her name and her voice, he realized that this was a girl between the wall with him. Knowing her name, he in return gave his, "I'm Lucas."

message 21: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments Alex could feel Lucas's slight joy. It was more of a comforting feeling to know that your neighbor was alive and well; especially in this world. "Congratulations," Alex continued with a happier tone, "you're the first 'Lucas' I've met. You'd better be a good one. Don't ruin it for the other 'Lucas's' out there." Alex was usually in a good mood, despite the conditions. She had to keep a positive attitude or she'd lose herself completely.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

He laughed lightly, "I'll try to uphold the name." He sighed, feeling the strain on his arm as he'd been leaning on it. "And you better be a good Alex." he said back, his voice still quiet.

message 23: by Aimee (new)

Aimee the Unicorn (abalint) | 2294 comments "Well, the people I've met all think I'm a good Alex..." She got quite for a second as she phrased the question carefully, "Do you know why they're doing this? And what's with the door at the end of the hallway?" She was quite curious and in the long run [which didn't seem that long], felt she'd end up going through there.
