Brave:
There's no doubt that Emerson is Brave. He always has been whether it was because of what was expected from him, or it's because he grew up that way.
Vague:
When you take a look at the way Emerson talks, you can tell that he's not very open when it comes to what happens at home, or when things get personal. He try's to tell someone as little as possible, and be done with it. If he was speaking to his siblings it's totally different.
Brutal:
When Emerson is Angry or when something could be happening to the people he cares about, he get's really scary. He will do almost anything and fight and hurt almost anyone to get what he wants.
Caring:
Emerson has been referred to as a big teddy bear. He cares deeply and passionately, and sometimes he will even stop talking to someone just to protect them from becoming a target. Or even to spare himself the consequences.
Adventurous:
Emerson loves to try and experience new things, even though he hardly get's the chance too. He mostly shows this side when he secretly leaves the cabin from time to time, just to be in his wolf form, and to be with the forest.

Emerson is mature, because of many things. His father raised him to believe that you must be strong and proud and must do what you need to for your people. Also because at times he felt like he never really had an emotion relationship with his father. Not like a father and son should be.
