Dani & Tyler

The demon conjured up a huge wall of fire, but it curled back around itself. It showed that he was a bit vain, and self protective. He then started to shoot jets of fire towards the intruders. His aim was hardly accurate, but the scorching heat of just being close was enough.

The demon kept shooting jets of fire at Fabain, angered for no reason at all. However, he kept missing. The stream of heat kept hitting behind the vampire, rather than his shield.

The demon's power sputtered, the wall of flames lowering in a moment of weakness. The tower was suddenly cold, the absence of the searing heat sudden. The demon managed to break eyes and stumble back, but he was now undefended.

The demon disintegrated into ashes, which spread away in the faint wind. The fire sizzled until it burnt out, leaving the scorched bodies of men in its wake.

Geoffrey nodded, confused but still obeying. "Yes, sir." He saluted and turned to retreat back to the tower. Tylia whimpered in pain, her vision swimming hecticly.
The barren room echoed Fabian's words. All that was left was the faint scent of the two, and drops of Tylia's blood spattered across the floor.

Tylia stumbled forward and back before regaining her balance. Wave after wave of pain kept hitting her. "You said... You said my name was Page... Not girl..." She almost fell back to the ground.
The remainder of the men made a weak circle around the magician, in case any danger were to threaten them. With the demon supposedly busy in the tower, they had no other protection.

Tylia felt something hard dig into the bottom of her shoe, and looked down to see a glimmer. Kneeling down, the glimmer focused into a ring. It was familiar to Tylia, although she couldn't say why. Scooping it up in her hand, she turned to run as the shouting grew closer.

The disoriented girl wasn't quite sure why she had given Fabian the ring. Part of her trusted him, but not much. At least he wasn't slapping her, like the other man had.

Tylia's hand was tense in Fabian's. She didn't remember anything about him, not one moment that they had spent together. "Where do we go?" Tylia asked warily, looking around for the cruel man.

The boy dashed off, recruiting many of the other orphans who wandered the streets. Soon, one of the older girls was knocking on the door to Raynard's home. She was only helping because the little boy was her brother, not because she believed him.
Tylia stared at the blood welling up on Fabian's wrist with her mouth slightly agape. She seemed a bit horrified by the offer, and shook her head in disgust, then winced in pain at the sudden movement.

Tylia shook her head again, refusing it. She didn't believe that the blood of this stranger would heal her, in fact she believed it would hurt her more.

Tylia bit her bottom lip nervously before nodding. "Alright..." She agreed. She was in an awful lot of pain, especially whenever she moved.

Tylia winced in pain as he washed her face, the dirt and blood wiping away to reveal her pale face. When he pressed his lips to her hand, Tylia quickly tugged it away- but not before she felt a familiar tingling.

"I think I 'ave, but no proof. One of the shop owners got irritated when I asked about the couple, but it might be 'cause I'm an urchin and all, ya know?" The girl crossed her arms, looking bored.

Tylia shook her head, although it was a blatant lie. Her back stung quite horribly, and she was still sore from the portal transport. The various wounds she had on her arms were still stinging as well, but less so than all the others. Her dark hair fell in matted tangles around her face, but she made no move to correct it. Swallowing hard, she nervously flicked her eyes up at the vampire before looking at her dirtied hands. "I am Page!" She finally whispered in a cracking voice, refusing to believe her name was Tylia.
The girl shrugged and led the mysterious man in the vague direction of the shop keeper. She didn't quite remember where he was, since she didn't think the man would actually want to check. Once she had reached the street the shop was on, she shrugged. "Somewhere down 'ere, don't be expectin' me to remember."

"I don't remember! Aren't ya listenin'? It was a house with a black door, or a red one... I think..." She trails off, shrugging, crossing her arms. "Just go door ta door, or somethin'. That's what I did."

The urchin girl watched with slight fear, for she didn't think that bringing the man to the house would cause anyone harm. "Hey, what are you doin'?!" She called wildly, running up to the side of the mysterious man.

The girl stood, watching in horror, for a few more moments. It was her fault this poor couple had been found, and it would be her fault if they were killed. Thinking only of their lives, and perhaps a reward if what she did succeeded, she picked up a rock and tossed it from hand to the next. "Hey, Mister!" She shouted, waiting until the wizard was looking right at her to throw the rock, aiming directly at his face.

Meanwhile, other urchins she had taken care of on the testing streets had heard the commotion, coming to see what was happening. Seeing the urchin girl throwing rocks at the wizard, a wizard who was trying to kill someone, they all followed like sheep. Rocks soon came from all directions, although the aim was poor, and many missed, everyone trying to distract the wizard.

"A-Are you a-alright?!" Tylia asked while she tried to pull herself up, but stumbled back into the wall when she heard more screams echo through the crowd. The Constable soon arrived, and the woman who had first screamed pointed out the vampire. "It was he! He killed the man!" She said hysterically. The Constable and his men began to approach Fabian, making Tylia panic even more.
"Wh-What a-a-are we going t-to do?" She asked Fabian, pulling herself up and moving behind him, watching the now livid crowd that didn't know the whole story. Her eyes strayed to that destroyed body of the wizard, and she flinched, the blood frightening her. If Fabian was capable of that, who's to say he wouldn't do it again? However, the thought was dismissed and replaced by an odd trust, left over in her locked away mind.
A man of fire materialized at the top of the stairs. He shouted something, still angered by his imprisonment, but then his eyes lingered on Eliza and Fabian. Sneering, he closed the distance between them, the heat emanating from himself searing.
