When they were little, Lexi and her identical twin, Ava, made up a third sister, Alicia. If something broke? Alicia did it. Cookies got eaten? Alicia's guilty. Alicia was always to blame for everything. The game is all grown up now that the girls are seniors. They use Alicia as their cover to go out with boys who are hot but not exactly dating material. Boys they'd never, ever be with in real life.

Now one of the guys Alicia went out with has turned up dead, and Lexi wants to stop the game for good. As coincidences start piling up, Ava insists that if they follow the rules for being Alicia, everything will be fine. But when another boy is killed, the DNA evidence and surveillance photos point to only one suspect: Alicia. The girl who doesn't exist. As she runs from the cops, Lexi has to find the truth before another boy is murdered. Because either Ava is a killer…or Alicia is real.

Finished. Review on home page. Exaggerated in a Pretty Little Liars vein. Quite daft, but entertaining.

I started this after work today and read a few chapters before falling asleep lol It seems like an easy quick read which is exactly what I need right now.

Ch. 1 (view spoiler)[ I don't know how I feel about Lexi being potentially raped in a the parking lot where Casey is employed. It seems like by 2015 guys wouldn't be stupid enough to think they'd get away with it and it's not like he was drunk or something... (hide spoiler)]

I'll probably end up finishing this tomorrow or Sunday after work since the text is gigantic

I read half of the book yesterday, up to chapter 15. I agree that (view spoiler)[ it was incredibly stupid of them to tell the police that Alicia existed. Like why wouldn't you just confess to a fake ID that you made as a joke (especially when it didn't put them at drinking age anyway) and give their alibis? Both sisters were in public places and couldn't have been at the crime scene and the police could just look for the Honda that "Alicia" got a ticket in (hide spoiler)]

That being said, I am pretty hooked and will be finishing the book today since I'm having a lazy day lol

I've read through chapter 19

(view spoiler)[ I don't see Ava being smart enough to know how to kill the boys that way, but that could be intentional to mislead us. But I'm having feelings about Cecelia. She's clearly hiding things, particularly a missing relative she's kept secret, and was around before the girls were born. She could be their mother or is related to the mother, and "Alicia" really is a triplet that was kept and is jealous of how the girls' lives have turned out. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Rubi mentioned a guy wearing a hoodie in a truck so I thought the killer was male, but I'm glad I was wrong about that so every single thing wasn't so predictable. Definitely similar to Pretty Little Liars in that would-never-happen way, but an easy page-turner that was good for me because I've been sick and didn't want to read something too dense.
