Midas - could turn things into gold. Said to have the "golden touch." One Midas was the king of Lydia.

Hey captains.. on card 1 for my book 'Heartbreak Hotel' row 20... there's information there that I didn't put it and I think is for Tammie, for 'Princess', 'Woman', 'Queen', 'Deluxe'

'deluxe' definitely isn't used in the book

I also think we could use fat as another word for obese... I added in a sentence into that book

Do we have everyone’s books for this week...we are short 6 from our minimum which is unusual as we are typically over

I just logged my book for this week. I finished which is a 'Bad Book' and/or can be used for Bingo Card 2 if I am reading the spreadsheet correct as it has the word horse in the text.
I hope I filled it all out correctly!

PS: And I really do agree, it was one of the worst books I think I have read in a very long time.........

BY the way, I've just noticed that the lines in the spreadsheet seem to be out of whack. My entry is on Line 30 on the Bingo card 1 sheet and it's gone onto Line 31 on the Bingo Card 2 sheet. The book under mine has therefore gone into the wrong spot as well. I think someone has inserted a line on Bingo Card 2 but I can't see it.......

It's a strange mini this week...I'm sorry I haven't posted it. I've been working on moving my Real Estate License and it's really taken a lot of my time from what I normally do on GR and reading as well.

Any way...this week's mini is for ENVY...YEAH and it's a word search.

Envy is a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another's advantages, success, possessions, etc.

Make other teams envious by seeing how many words of at least four letters you can find and spell-out in our letter grid.

Words must be made up by connecting letter-squares. Letter-squares can be connected vertically, diagonally and horizontally, in any direction (so it can be a wriggly word, not necessarily a straight line). Letter-squares can only be used once in each word.

◈ Only books finished between 18th and 25th November will count for the Envy mini challenge (i.e. books finished in week 7).
◈ Books will either count towards the main part of the challenge (the Seven Deadly Sins) or towards this mini challenge.
◈ You will gain 5 points per letter.
◈ You will gain an additional 7 points for each completed word of 7 letters or more.
◈ Words must be in English (sorry). You can use foreign language books for your spell-out letters though.
◈ Only one incomplete word will be allowed (note that bonus points for 7 letter words are only awarded on completion of the word).
◈ Standard NBRC spell-out rules apply.

Spell-It-Out: These challenges spell out a word. Then for each letter read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last names) that begin with letters that correspond to the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.)

I just checked us in. We completed 31 books this week
We were able to complete 4 complete lines on our card...so that's great! I didn't take the time to completed update the card stuff on the WSS but here's what I reported...

OK...we're off...for our spellout challenge. I'm going to just pick the words from what you all find...list on pg 2 of SS please...and then we'll just record the books next to. It will be easier.

I don't believe proper nouns are ok.
I checked your words...most do not connect...the letters must touch consecutively.
