Yay can’t wait to answer your questions I’m gonna read it next week.

I've got this slated for reading next week as well...hoping for an Envy week with YA...will see.

Cecily...I had computer problems last week...can relate!
Here's the thread for posting books not going on the SS...we'll keep an eye out of them.

Hopefully you have bingo card 1...this is the card we are trying to fill for this week.

Still reading it, Tammie!

Like Sheik: an elderly member of a royal family who has been designated ruler who inherited his title from his father.
Midas - could turn things into gold. Said to have the "golden touch." One Midas was the king of Lydia.
The captains said to get creative!

True. Also why I mentioned a heroine who suddenly knew everything once she was marked by a goddess in the Midas category.

If you have concerns about how a book fits...let's just discuss it here...but the Mods have instructed us to be creative...we should do so! It needs to 'makes sense' but beyond this...let's make it work and have fun doing so!
We are at the 2 day mark...let's get books on the SS that we WILL COMPLETE by Sunday's countdown.
WEEK 6 COUNTDOWN

@Mary....."
OK...the SS is marked with a 'completion date'

Ohhhh. I will change it before sunday.

'deluxe' definitely isn't used in the book
I also think we could use fat as another word for obese... I added in a sentence into that book

Hmmm...I’ll check my post Tina

I hope I filled it all out correctly!
PS: And I really do agree, it was one of the worst books I think I have read in a very long time.........

Thanks everyone for getting us to our min...we should be good if everything is there.
It's a strange mini this week...I'm sorry I haven't posted it. I've been working on moving my Real Estate License and it's really taken a lot of my time from what I normally do on GR and reading as well.
Any way...this week's mini is for ENVY...YEAH and it's a word search.

Make other teams envious by seeing how many words of at least four letters you can find and spell-out in our letter grid.
Words must be made up by connecting letter-squares. Letter-squares can be connected vertically, diagonally and horizontally, in any direction (so it can be a wriggly word, not necessarily a straight line). Letter-squares can only be used once in each word.
◈ Only books finished between 18th and 25th November will count for the Envy mini challenge (i.e. books finished in week 7).
◈ Books will either count towards the main part of the challenge (the Seven Deadly Sins) or towards this mini challenge.
◈ You will gain 5 points per letter.
◈ You will gain an additional 7 points for each completed word of 7 letters or more.
◈ Words must be in English (sorry). You can use foreign language books for your spell-out letters though.
◈ Only one incomplete word will be allowed (note that bonus points for 7 letter words are only awarded on completion of the word).
◈ Standard NBRC spell-out rules apply.

So far, I have found x2 7 letter words...I'll find a place to put them on the SS.

Please post words you find on the SS...good strategy to keep our words private I think as everyone has the same SS

Spell-It-Out: These challenges spell out a word. Then for each letter read books with titles, series names, authors (first or last names) that begin with letters that correspond to the word you choose. You may ignore the indefinite and definite articles (a, an, the, etc.)
Example of Spell-It-Out Challenge:
3/4
N. - ✔ Neville, Katherine = The Eight 1/23/13
B. - ✔ The Best Man, by Kristan Higgins 3/5/13
R. - ✔ Rachael Joyce = The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry 6/26/13
C. - Capital Crimes, #4 - Murder in the Smithsonian, by Margaret Truman

Is there anywhere that I'd be able to fit

I'm not sure what's going to be required for recording next week's challenge...but please everyone try and have the books you are going to finish posted well ahead of the end of the challenge. It will be much appreciated.
OK...we're off...for our spellout challenge. I'm going to just pick the words from what you all find...list on pg 2 of SS please...and then we'll just record the books next to. It will be easier.
I'll leave the words I don't use listed so we can move things around if needed.
