For this coming week I'm hoping to get through a few recommendations books:
The Goldfinch
A Little Life
Kings of the Wyld
Wolfsong
BOM-Ninth House
and the monster book!
Actually I"m going to try to get through a lot more of the monster tonight ;)

BOM - Ninth House
Recommendation Books:
Vicious
A Discovery of Witches
Magic Bites
Don't Tell - 501 pages
Clockwork Angel - 500 pages
ETA: Not enough time to read the two books listed above, but will post all the books I read that will earn us a good amount of points.

finish:
- New York (1056 pages)
- the monster book (3031 pages)
read:
- BOM - Ninth House (480 pages)
- another recommended book

I'll see if there is another doorstopper I could squeeze in by the end of the week.

On the recommendations page it is listed as Cross Stitch but when I got it from Amazon and here on GR, it's called Outlander.

I was confused by that the first time as well. I think it is no longer published as Cross Stitch?

In case one or more of you are planning to read Kushiel's Dart... Team Lust have set up a BR thread (in this folder) so we can all read and discuss together.
I've been meaning to read the book since the beginning of the challenge and this week was going to be it anyway, so I'm going to join.
There will be no extra points for this but it'll be a nice way to chat about the book with others who will be reading at the same time.

Ah another doorstop book I've had lying around for ages. I started it earlier in the year and then a challenge got in the way where books couldn't be started before the challenge so I've kind of put it aside again, sadly.
I also met the author earlier this year! Fun guy!

I read this book a few years ago. It was fun, I enjoyed it, although I did not feel like going on with his next books in the series.

I have started on The Way of Kings, but while it's intriguing, I think I need some more time to digest it, so instead I am/will be reading
The Eye of the World (800+ pages)
and
The Last Chronicle of Barset (900+ pages)
Sanderson takes a lot of time to read, I find. There's so much to take in as far as characters and world building are concerned.
Musical Interlude
Because it is that time of year!!
I don't care how much you'll hate me for putting this in your ears ;-) hahahah

Woah guys!
I am loving those fat page counts :-D
I am reading Kushiel's Dart atm (my copy has ~900 pages) but I'm not getting a lot of reading time at the moment (it is one of those weeks, as it seems to be for a lot of you as well....), which suuuuucks because the book is really good so far. But I'll have all of tomorrow afternoon and evening to read to my heart's content :-)

Oh yikes... Silkworm not as good as the first one?
You know, Handmaid's Tale is one of those books I'm surprised isn't mentioned in the fave reads as a lot of people love that book. Did you enjoy it?
