Thanks! The number of times I rolled my eyes and cringed was innumerable 😂 #AllInTheNameOfPoints
I've got 7 600+ page books for the Vanity mini-challenge. Started on one this morning and will maximize today and tomorrow to read as much as I can before I return to work on Wednesday.

I know!! U R A HERO!!
Jammin Jenny wrote: "I'm not sure I can make it through!! We've got two weeks right??"Yes! And I can totally understand if you don't. :)
If it's too much, just concentrate on other fat books!
This week I will finish Hot for the Holidays: Thirteen Naughty & Nice Novellas. 1000+ pagesI already read 3 of the novellas and compared to Monster Book, they are intellectual high-brow literature! :D
I will also read the 3 books of The Lord of the Rings for the Gluttony mini. 2 are 500+ pagers, 1 is 400+
For this week, I'm going to finish:
The Chestnut Man - today actually because today is the final day for reading the BOM *cough* (that deadline kind of snuck up on me)
A Local Habitation - my current Bingo read (377 pages)
All Fired Up - another Bingo read (292 pages)
So yes, since I'm on holiday, I'm finally going to read a little bit more and not just drudge around with 1 book per week ;-)

Don't force it!
It was a valiant effort and I take my hat off before you that you've attempted it, but if it just doesn't work, then yes, drop it!
You're right! James Marsters has got something! I love listening to him when he's reading Harry Dresden. Fits so, so well :-)

I have also been listening to Middlemarch on & off at a leisurely pace, which is a 900+ book, but will probably only finish by next week.

Awesome! I really liked it - had kind of a slow start but once the pace set in I had a great time with that book.

I didn't even notice the slower pace at the beginning but now it's definitely moving pretty quickly. I'm enjoying trying to puzzle things out hehe.

Uuuuuh, why I just have to go look at that then before heading to bed with the final pages of my book so I can drool a little over that lovely body after all the crime solving.
Thaaanks :-)

Just verifying...The Lord of the Rings is 1266 pages, it's not listed as a box set, it's one book (currently on KU), this counts right?
It's also on the favorite reads list.
Unfortunately, LoTR will have to be listed as 3 separate books - this was discussed at the Captains' Group and that was the final decision.

In the meantime, here's a musical interlude from me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eeWGO...
It's a bit melancholy, but I just love this song and this Guy! :)
Plus, it's freezing and snowy in Hungary, so it's very fitting.

Actually, go for it.
We have one final spot available and then we've hit the absolute maximum for this week, but since you've already read it, it's a blue cover and has a decent amount of pages... :-)
