No worries and thanks for letting us know! :-)

And yay for housewarming! That's always fun - if a lot of work, true!

Only one of the two.

We'll use it for Sin Bingo as that will give us 2 more points than using it for a task :-)

Generally, they are. But I think for this one as the tasks are fairly specific, I would say no.

message 808: by Nicole (new)

Nicole P | 1834 comments Ok. And should I focus on books that meet the criteria for the mini-challenge or more sloth books? And I'm trying to be conscious of the page numbers. Keeping them over 500 as best I can.

Melindam | 8539 comments Hello Ladies!

This time, just a quick check-in to let you know that I'm alive and reading.

Got back from a short trip to Berlin last night after a messed-up and much delayed flight.

Will get into the proper reading swing by tomorrow.

message 810: by Joy (new)

Joy | 281 comments Watership Down still fits for a mini-challenge task ("Read a book with all the letters of WRATH in the title") so I'm still targeting it for that.

Oh nice. Let us know what you think of the book, yes?

It sounds really good (and the ratings say so, too) but it could be terribly written despite the idea that appeals to me.

Ah, in this case I'd say either or. Both reward 5 points (if you go with cover colour) and there are no bonus points for completing a certain number of tasks in this mini challenge.

And thanks! Higher page counts are much appreciated! :-D

Two of the main characters are in high school but I kept on envisioning them being New Adult. That seemed better suited. But yes, it was a good book. I love Greek mythology and this was a spin on Hades and Peresphone.

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Sorry for the lack of task numbers in my post. I'm getting them from the main thread on mini-challenges because I don't have access to Google Sheets at work (which is where I spend a lot of GR time, shhhh).

Jammin Jenny (jamminjenny) | 4185 comments I finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Harry Potter, #7) by J.K. Rowling . Does anyone have a quick way to see if someone on another team has read this book?

If not, I can just post it as a WRATH mini-challenge book I think. It's got a green cover and YA tag, but I can't find anyone who's read it in 2019.

Oookay, you can choose which option to use, Jenny ;-)

Keri from Team Superbia read it last month.
and
Laila Jane from Team Superbia read it in February.

I'd suggest double-checking for exact dates to be on the safe side, but those are the people that have been mentioned.

Oooookay, I'm giving in. I've asked my bookseller friend if she has a copy of The Chestnut Man in store. It's an enormous book and starts this weekend already where I wanted to finish my enormous Tower of Dawn so I'm probably going to start late, but it's worth the points and sounds so good. And then you should read it before it arrives so you can watch it together hehe.

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) And I just went down an entire hole of Pratchett movies that I didn't know existed. The US sucks...

message 848: by Eldarwen (new)

There are quite a few, yes. I haven't seen them all as I haven't read all those books yet, but Hogfather is definitely close to the book so I can only recommend it. Besides, Death is awesome in it and the whole Hogfather thing is well done.

Going Postal is apparently really good as well, I've been told.

Melindam | 8539 comments Going Postal is also very good.

I liked Charles Dance as Lord Vetinari, though Jeremy Irons was even better in The Colour of Magic. :)
