I am a full time college student (premed) so I don't have nearly as much time to read as I want, but I am enjoying seeing what everyone else is reading!

Sin: Lust - cover red
I'm on to my 3rd book. Yay!! I would most likely be done by tomorrow...I have another short book to read, if we are short books. please let me know. I'd be happy to list that book for the challenge.
I'd say purple for It Ends with Us.Great job Namita! If your other book is more than 100 pages, yes please do list it. We can use all the book points we can get!

Great!! Will do!!
Should have Perks of Being a Wallflower done Saturday (today), which will make 2 books this week. Not sure if I will get a 3rd one done but I’ll try. Should be to my normal quota of 3+ by week 3. Had to figure out my reading speed because I’m used to reading maybe none or 1 books some weeks and 6 another, so I had to not do that!
Okay gang, we have our 1st Mini-Challenge!
Sloth is laziness and the avoidance of physical or spiritual work.
The most commonly known sloth is... the sloth. Venturing into the animal kingdom with this brilliant statement (ha.ha), your task for this week 3 is a rather easy one.
Your team is on an animal scavenger hunt!
Find as many animals as you can either on the cover, in the title or in the text of the books you are reading. The reference to the animal within the text of the book needs to be to the actual animal and not an expression such as "lazy like a sloth", for example.
◈ Only books finished between 21th and 28th October will count for the Sloth mini challenge (i.e. books finished in week 3).
◈ Books will either count towards the main part of the challenge (the Seven Deadly Sins) or towards this mini challenge.
◈ One animal per book. (In other words: a book can only be used once for either cover, title or text.)
◈ The same animal can only be found up to a maximum of 7 times.
◈ You will gain 7 points for the first time you find a tricky animal, and 5 points for the first time you find an easy animal.
◈You will gain 1 point for each subsequent find of the same animal (easy or tricky), to a maximum of 7 finds of that animal.
i.e. if you find sloth (an easy animal) 7 times, in 7 different books you will gain 5 + 6*1 points
You can create collections of 7 unique animals (tricky or easy, you can't mix & match)
◈ for each collection of 7 unique easy animals found you will get 10 bonus points
◈ for each collection of 7 tricky animals found you will get 20 bonus points
◈ multiple collections are possible, but there can be no overlap (i.e. if you claim two collections of easy animals you can't have the same animal in each collection)
Report collections in your weekly check-in, listing the animals in each collection.

Jill wrote: "I will use
for the mini challenge since its a book that won't get us many points for sin."I bought it recently, interested to hear what you think of it.
Please make sure if you are using Animal in Text for the mini-challenge, you jot down the location & quote. And also maybe jot down additional animals you find in your book? If the animal has already been found, it will only be worth 1 point so might not be worth using for the mini-challenge.Do you think this is green or blue?
Quick note about points for the mini-challenge:For each collection (set of 7 animals):
Unique Tricky Animals = 7 pts/animal + 20 collection points
= 69 points total (almost 10 points/book)
Unique Easy Animals = 5 pts/animal + 10 collection points
= 45 points (around 6 points/book)
It's not worth duplicating any animals as that only garners us 1 point (would be better to use it for a sin).
Cathy, do you mean if I read a book with bear, you shouldn’t read a book with bear and should use it as a sin instead? Sorry, not really following..
No, you have it right. If you read a book, we get the 5 points for finding it for the 1st time. If I read another book with the same animal, we only receive 1 point for the animal, and it's not "unique" so could not use it for a collection. If it's worth more points as a sin, should use it for a sin.
I loooove animals, though I don't know how easy this challenge will be for me lol.@Cathy M.
The cover definitely looks blue to me!
Maybe I'll read Pax
for the challenge? But if I manage to find a tricky animal instead, I'll swap it out for that one if someone else wanted to claim the fox.
I will be reading
next for the Sloth sin (blue cover). I have added it to Week 3 in the planning spreadsheet.
Namita wrote: "Question: Do we list our Mini Challenge books on the Week 3 tab?"Yes please! We still get the book points for all reads so all books should be listed on the Wk 3 tab. If it works for the Mini-Challenge, for Sin put it under Sloth and then for Criteria it would be "Mini-Challenge." And then you can also add to the Wk 3 Mini-Challenge tab with the location/quote if in text, or other justification listed.

The suit looks more black to me but someone else could say they agree with you. Any other opinions?

Sin: Gluttony - Long series (book 14) or Lust - favourite author (have read the entire series of 14 books)
Done for week 2. Signed up two books for week 3. Will fit one more in, but not sure which yet. Will update when I decide
@Sunshine- Scorpio hates Virgo - not purple enough (in my opinion)
- Down and Dirty - looks more blue than purple
- Sinner's Gun - purple
- Velvet Glove - purple
- Sense of Place - purple
- Bound and Determined - purple
- The Subs Club - red, tagged as guilty-pleasure, lustful item on cover (crop) or too steamy - can be used for Sin Bingo
- The Morning Star - red, not tagged as guilty-pleasure - can't be used for Sin Bingo
- The Hot Floor - not red, not tagged as guilty-pleasure - can't be used for Sin Bingo
- The Shattered Gates - red, not tagged as guilty-pleasure - can't be used for Sin Bingo
- 24/7 - red, tagged as guilty-pleasure, too steamy - can be used for Sin Bingo
Hope this helps!
Ashleigh/Cathy, Maria’s book needs to be added to the SS. I had added her first book. We’d move up to 28 books than.
I just finished one and will have one more finished by the deadline.

You are the best!! 😀
So I had a change of plans. Sick, last day for finals and some family stuff came up. I won’t be able to finish Perks of being a wallflower this week (it’ll be next week) but I found a 104 page fluff filler I’ll read really quick so it’ll still keep me at 2 books and give us another book. Not many points, but I want to make sure we stay in our % and I’ve been slacking!
