You mean December ;)
What do you need for part 1? Trying to slot my books now..

For part 1, we need books that can fit the following spaces to make stories:
- Adjective to describe person 1
- Name or role of person 1
- Adjective to describe person 2
- Name or role of person 2
- Place where they meet
- Why they're meeting
- What person one wore
- What person two wore
- What person one said
- What person two said
- Consequence of that conversation
- What the world would say to that
Every time you fill in those 12 prompts, you get an extra 7 points.

What ever gets us more points...I'm good.
Sin Bingo....I'll have a look. Thanks, Cathy!

Correction - if you only use a book for Part 1 it is only 2 points, 3 if we get the completion bonus for the story (14 total completion bonus points for the 12 completed books). So if the book only works for Part 1 and it is a Sin Bingo or Color Cover, it would be better to use for one of the Sins.
If you read a book on the Bad Book Recs (Part 2), we get 5 points for reading it. If that book can also fit into Part 1 (this week only we can use in 2 spots), that will get 7 points.

Okay, so I've got 2 that I'm finishing today that I put in one of the stories, but they both work for blue cover also. Should I just pull them out of the story then? I want to make sure we get as many points as I can but also don't screw up the story plan. :)

No worries! I was putting some completion dates in last night and I really like how that first story is coming together! :)

My books are all on the shorter side this week. :( I'm sorry about that! I should have been paying more attention when I was planning out my week. But it means I could probably add one or two more in and hit 9 or 10 for the week if that won't push us over our threshold...

@Cyndee that's fine. Every little helps!

Avarice is an inordinate or insatiable longing for material gain, be it food, money, status, or power.
For this mini-challenge your team is going to greedily fill in your bingo card for points.
You will have three bingo cards with words related to greed. For each word, read a book that matches the word in some way: cover, title, genre, theme - be as creative as you want as you try to cover as much of the cards as possible.
◈ Only books finished between 11th and 18th November will count for the Avarice mini challenge (i.e. books finished in week 6).
◈ Books will either count towards the main part of the challenge (the Seven Deadly Sins) or towards this mini challenge.
◈ You will gain 5 points for each square you fill
◈ You will gain an additional 7 points if you complete a card
◈ You will gain an additional 7 points for each 7 square straight line you completely fill (vertical / horizontal / corner-to-corner)
◈ Captains will report straight line bonus requests in the Check-in at the end of the week.
This mini challenge looks like so much fun!

I'll post in the Captain's thread so we get the extra points!

Countdown Timer

I will do some updates this afternoon but I'm unexpectedly working today (during my nice 4 day weekend!! -. - )
Hoping to get at least one of my books finished before the deadline and maybe get a couple of small ones in to push us closer to the min count
Cathy M. wrote: "For the Bingo cards, can we decide on 1 card and to go for as many of the spots possible on that one card? That way, the possibility to get complete lines is better (which means more points!)."
I was just coming to ask if there was a card we should focus on. :)

Sin Bingo - Vanity
I can find and read other books, but the purple ones fit into my other challenges

For everyone's entertainment, the thread for all the teams' stories can be found here.

Story 1:
When the everThoughtless Robbie bumped into The Beautiful Lady Midnight, they had been hoping to avoid each other at The Red House. The annual Caraval was usually a cause for celebration, but after their acrimonious separation, they were displeased to meet here. Especially as Robbie was clothed in Ice Blue, while Lady Midnight had gone for an Endless Stretch of Blue.
Robbie jabbed "Over You, Over Us", always eager to put the Lady down.
"Oh, This is How It Always It" retorted Midnight, ever the Lady.
A few weeks later, the separation had become final with papers being signed and their friends were quick to gossip about the former power couple.
"Did you hear about That Divorce? They seemed perfect for each other." said one acquaintance to another. "Maybe in Another Life..."
Story 2:
One stormy night, Wilder, The Guardian met Villian the Truthwitch at the Tunnel of Bones. Elders of the Teddy Bear People, they needed to discuss how to tackle the tension between their group and The Doll People. Wilder, in an attempt to prove his authority, wore A Blade So Black, while the tatty Villain went with her regular outfit which was In Pieces.
"If we do not come to a solution, we may find ourselves fighting against a Bloodchild" said Wilder. Villain always loathe to meet the dramatic Guardian, who was known amongst the Teddy Bears for his paranoia, and scaremongering.
"As the great Lord Theodore once said, Even White Trash Zombies get the Blues", Villain reminded the anxious man, quoting the long-time manta of their people.
After a long discussion, the pair agreed on one thing: they did not want to go to war with The Doll People. So they proposed the only thing they could think of that would bring the two groups together: Baking and Babies, the favourite pastime of all the Toy Creatures.
Some time later, when all tension had ceased between the groups and The Doll people proved to be much better at Baking and Babies, despite claiming otherwise, there was only one thing Wilder and Villain could agreed on. "We were well and truly Pucked Over by those sneaky Dolls!"
