Do not delete books. Moved to the 2 space profile.
Just as a note, the reason this happens is because you only have 1 space in your profile name, so anytime a user creates a book with that name and only puts 1 space, or when an import runs, those books will fall under your profile.
Just to add to Philip's explanation, Goodreads uses extra spaces to disambiguate authors with otherwise identical names. You have claimed the default, single-space Rachel Carter profile. Because other databases don't use extra spaces like we do to disambiguate all the other Rachel Carters who have published books, anytime Goodreads receives a database update from outside sources, works by any author named Rachel Carter will appear on your profile. As Philip said, we don't delete books. But if this happens again in the future, just post here (like you did this time) and a librarian will move the books off your profile.

Hi John,Because you have so many, many books on your profile that you did NOT author, and because your name is so common, I'm going to go ahead and suggest that you contact support or post in the employee thread here to request that your profile be disambiguated to a John Carter with multiple spaces (see message 3 above about how/why we use extra spaces). Switching your profile to a spelling of John Carter with multiple spaces will stop the appearance of other books by other John Carters from appearing on your profile page whenever we get an automatic database update. The down side to this approach, however, is that some of YOUR books may be imported to the wrong, default profile, and you will need to be vigilant about checking the default profile for any editions of your own books that have gone astray.
That's my recommendation, at any rate. If you'd prefer to keep the single-space John Carter profile, I or another librarian can go ahead and move the 100+ books that are NOT yours, but doing so now won't prevent other books from appearing on there in the future.
Z-squared, I am fine with adding a space or two and that makes perfect sense. I posted in the link you left, but it says at the top not to post for disambiguation. And so far, nothing has changed on my author page. I really would like to get my page up and running as soon as possible. Where else can I go to get help for this??
