bad language

I have read all the Cullen novels so far but I am saddened by the excessive use of bad language in this novel.
If this is to be a feature of future novels then I regret that I will not be purchasing them.

Hi John. I just checked the level of swearing and it's in line with (or lower) than the previous novels. The language in these particular novels reflects the reality of how people talk in Edinburgh in my experience. I have other novels with no swearing (SHOT THROUGH THE HEART has no profanity) or minimal (SNARED, out next year) as it fits the characters. I can't write about these people without reflecting the language they use - these are desperate people in desperate situations.

Thanks,
Ed

I think you will find in real life the bad language would a lot worse.

I dont think its too much in life sometimes we swearing before we know it. It would not stop me form buying the next book. Its the story that has my mind not the language.

But thats just me.

Ed James Thanks, Kazzy. There will be a f***ton in the next Cullen, no doubt once a certain other new DS opens his mouth...
