lethe | 13571 comments I tend to steer clear of manga and comics because I know very little about them, so I'll gladly leave this to somebody else.

The editions of this manga/comic have a wild variety of primary authors. The writer Stephen Thompson is not mentioned on all covers. Most mention the creators, Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. One only mentions the artist, Jay (that cover has a watermark, btw:

Should the writer be primary, or creator Steven Moffat, or the artist?

Most editions need to have the title corrected to (the equivalent of) The Blind Banker (Sherlock #2)

Also, the Spanish edition ( seems to have been added with the Japanese cover.

The default description suggests that it is an English/Japanese collaboration, so is the original title correct?

Made some notes here along the way...
I don't think it is a small project, as there are also other volumes in this series.

I'd also seen this when working on a combine request, and made a note to check back and try to sort it out.

I've also noticed someone had made a start disambiguating the single author Jay to Jay.. I've added a link in the description of the default profile.

Jay is the adapter, so should be the primary author.
Moffat and Gatiss are the creators (and also writers of some episodes) of the TV-series on which this manga is based/adapted from.
Stephen/Steve Thompon is the actual writer of the "The Blind Banker" BBC-series episode.

For both English and German editions, Worldcat mentions them to be translations from Japanese, so that would be the original edition. There is also a bilingual Japanese-English edition.

Status update:
- All editions disambiguated to Jay.
- Titles for volumes 1, 2 and 3 corrected to GR standard.
- Sorted out Stephen/Steve Thompson (credited with either Stephen or Steve on some covers): and
- There are multiple Spanish editions. Merged the one with the Japanese cover and truncated isbn.
- Replaced the cover on the German edition with the watermark (saying placeholder cover in German) with the actual cover from

lethe | 13571 comments Thanks, I changed the topic title.

Changing Jay to Jay. for disambiguation purposes makes sense, because that is how his name is written on the Japanese cover (on the Spanish edition):

It also makes sense that he would be the primary author.

Thanks for your help.

Arenda | 19919 comments I'm done with them.

For a real clean up, the Amazon series pages listings should also be merged and NAB-ed, but that's something I really don't like. If anyone is interested in doing them, they can be found on this combine page:
