lethe | 13576 comments According to the publisher's note in my edition, East of the Sun and West of the Moon, first published in 1914, includes 15 tales from Norske Folkeeventyr, 13 of which were taken from George Dasent's translation of the majority of them, Popular Tales from the Norse (first published 1859).

So it would seem that there should be two separate combinations for this title: the single tale, and the 15-story selection, but they all seem to have become mixed up. Also, I don't know if other selections with different (numbers of) tales have ever been published.
