Brigitte Jimenez | 37 comments "Characters as persuasively optimistic as Addie are rare, and readers will gravitate to her. Poignant."-Publishers Weekly. I would recommend this novel to girls ages 10-13 because there are many situations to relate to. I personally enjoyed reading this story because it is about a girl named Addie who is still trying to find herself while dealing with her family and growing up. This novel has won many awards such as ALA Top 10 Best Books For Young Adults, ALA Notable Children's Book, and the Cooperative Children's Book Center Choice. Leslie Connor has also written Miss Bridie Chose A Shovel and Dead On Town Line

Logan Ray | 1 comments This is one of my favorite books I have ever read. It is so inspiring in the sense that Addie is so uplifting and finds the good in all. She has such a passionate love for people and cherishes the littl things. Everyone can realate to life being hard but Addie's problems will make yours seem like nothing. All or nothing. Addie is always comparing mommers to this quote because she either gives her all or gives nothing.
