When manually adding a book to the site I never see the option to input a URL, so I assume only librarians can do it. (Please correct me, if that's not the case, and tell me where the option is for non-librarians) Only some books have them (Zombicorns, by John Green has one for example https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...) I want to add the following URL to my book 'Work & the Adventures of Captain Customer Service': http://issuu.com/ellierose101/docs/co...

Hmmm. I'm not sure! If you can add it, it's the box directly above the description. I added it for you.

Hey, it's me again! That book now has a new edition added (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) could you give it the following URL: http://www.lulu.com/shop/ellie-rose-m... please and thank you! To clarify, I want the new URL attached to the new addition - the one linked in this post - only. The old URL for the old/original edition still stands.

The URL field on the book page is optional, and should only be used for links to the book on the author's site, or on a publisher site. In either case, but especially if the link is to a publisher who is also the bookseller, the link should only be added to that field if the site has additional content.
The field is explicitly not to add a bookseller link.
The field is explicitly not to add a bookseller link.
Links to a publisher should only be added if the page provides additional information about the book i.e. excerpts. If the page only has a link to buy the book it is not deemed an acceptable link for the URL fieldfrom the librarians manual
This field is for entering a URL officially associated with that book, such as a page on an author's site for the book. It may also be an author or publisher's website for the book, if it contains additional information or resources.
