Plot takes place in a world similar to ours in a future. Some time before the plot a time-reversing event happened, resulting in most things getting reversed, most notably people wake up in their graves as elders, have to be dug up and taken care of for a while until they get young enough to go to work until they are children. Then they are inserted into woman's womb, and the woman has to have sex 9 months later. The main protagonist, married to a woman a lot younger than him, has a sense for when somebody has awoken, and spends his time on gtaveyards to notify the dig-up people. There is also an organisation which ensures that inventions and works of art are forgotten symmetrically to when they were created, and it serves as the main antagonist. Plot revolves around the incoming awakening of a prophet, founder of some cult or religion. The cult/religion hires the main protagonist to check on the founder and ensure his safe unburial when the time comes, and the organisation thinks he will try to spread his religion and add something to it, which conflicts with theor goal of making ideas disappear how they appeared, so they want to kill the founder as he wakes up.
