Lynda I have always read series and now I am reading so many that I am way behind on them. So I am now making a commitment to catch up with the Black Dagger Brotherhood that I have 1-7 before Oct. 3. So that I can buy to new one having read the others.

Anyone else have a series they want to catch up with before a certain date?

Jackie M | 452 comments I am trying to catch up on Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series. The new book comes out this month but I still have two of the books to read and they are both around a thousand pages or more.

Good luck with that. I haven't read any Gabaldon, but I have some of hers in my tbr shelves.

Jackie M | 452 comments Ya I don't think I'll get them read in time because there is no way I can read two of her books in a row.
I also need to catch up on Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. So many books and not enough time!

LOL! We share the same name and the same situation as far as the Outlander Series. I had to place A Breath of Snow and Ashes on hold at the library and I'm dying because I know that I won't get it on time before Echo is due out. I can't read two of her books back to back either. It's just too much.

Unapologetic_Bookaholic I don't have a date but I do want to make sure to keep track of the ones I am starting. So when I finish Book #1 and I feel I am going to con. I add to my ever growing Series Tracker. Now its a community effort. LOL. I recruited my friends here on GR to help. It is a blessing and a curse b/c I found some MORE series I never heard of I may want to start!

Lynda I just finished Lover Enshrined, the third book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood novels. So far it is my favorite.

message 9: by Jaimie (new)

Jaimie (jaimie476) I try to keep to one series at a time, although that doesn't always happen. For several years now I've been reading Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. He just put out book #37 and I've read 13 of them so I'm in no hurry to catch up.
I'm also in the middle of a series of vampire novels by Jeanne Kalogridis about the Family Dracul.

Lynda Update: I have finished Lover Revealed which I liked a good deal. I am eagerly moving on to Lover Unbound.

Lynda I have finished Lover Unbound. I will start Lover Enshrined tomorrow.

Adrienne | 286 comments I'm part way thru nalini Singh Psy-Changeling series and would really like to get up to date with it , while it's all still fresh in my mind:) This is a great series and I don't want to make the mistake of leaving it so long that I become complacent about finishing it.

message 13: by Lynda (new)

Lynda I finished Lover Enshrined today. I will be starting Lover Avenged in the morning.

message 14: by Adrienne (new)

Adrienne | 286 comments Lover Avenged is fantasic, gripping right from the start! As you've got this far with the series I know you'll enjoy it:)

message 15: by Lynda (new)

Lynda I finished Lover Avenged. That catches me up on the series. I am rereading Carrie Vaughn's Kitty takes a holiday before starting the others I haven't read.

message 16: by Lynda (new)

Lynda I finished reading Kitty Takes a Holiday and I am going to start Kitty and the Silver Bullet.

Barbara (moochgoddess) | 92 comments The Vampire Academy series. Just got addicted, what can I say.

message 18: by Lynda (new)

Lynda I finished Kitty and the Silver Bullet after being diverted by a bunch of Sookie Stackhouse rereads. Really liked it. I am moving on to next Kitty.

I also read Diana Gabaldon's Outlander books but didn't finish the series. Isn't it a wonderful story. I was thinking of picking one of the books up again but I can't remember which book I left off with.

Lynda I have been having trouble with Kitty Raises Hell. I keep stopping to read other things.

message 21: by Lynda (new)

Lynda Finally caught up with Carrie Vaughn and have received Blue Bloods 4.

I am sorry to say that I am going to drop out of any groups that I belong to. I have got to be free to pick my own books. Otherwise I feel guilty about following my own desires. I am old and set in my ways and do not want to read books by authors I do not like or am not in the mood for.

I would be glad to be followed by or be friends with anyone in the groups I joined.

Deb (Devorah) | 17 comments I understand Lynda, not wanting to be constrained by reading books that a group of other people have picked. It may not be a book you want to read and it's a waste of time and sometimes money. I dropped out of a book group for that same reason.

Barbara (moochgoddess) | 92 comments It's nice to have a place like this to discuss what you actually want to read/have read. You can start a thread and discuss all you want!!!!

message 26: by Deb (new)

Deb (Devorah) | 17 comments I agree Barbara, I like that too, but I don't necessarily like joining into a group where I have to read a particular book within a particular time frame. I love being able to come here and discuss the books I read or listen to others who have recommended the books they like. I discovered the Black Daggers whatever they are (I downloaded a sample on my Kindle) and I enjoyed reading it and I'm considering buying the book and starting the series. Think, think!

message 27: by new_user (new)

new_user *chanting* Do it, do it!

message 28: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (moochgoddess) | 92 comments I would definitely do it Deb. It's not like deciding whether to get a bikini wax or anything. There should be no pain with a book!

message 29: by Deb (new)

Deb (Devorah) | 17 comments Barbara, your comment cracked me up. I did the deed. I bought Dark Lover and began reading it and I can't put the darn thing down. I was up til 1am reading and finally had to force, force myself to go to sleep. I got up this morning and headed for the book before I'd even had my tea. How good is that?

message 30: by Barbara (new)

Barbara (moochgoddess) | 92 comments Better than a bikini wax.
