Preston Orrick (prestonorrick) | 110 comments I am looking for a good copyeditor for a Science Fiction Crime novel. My budget is $1,000. Any good ones you can think of who you've worked with or seem to be good?

Amanda M. Lyons (amandamlyons) I'm an editor with J Ellington Ashton Press and I edit on the side as well. $1 per page for all edits. You can ask me any questions at nightshade44637@gmail.com if you're interested.

Amanda M. Lyons (amandamlyons) I've worked with two authors, outside of JEA, who you could ask about my work Alesha Escobar and Barakat Akinsiku and I've edited these novels for JEA:

Agent White Immolation The Preta Pathogen Autumn Burning: Dreadtime Stories for the Wicked SoulFinal Reverie The Warriors https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

I am Lead Editor for JEA US and I'm sure the owner of JEA, Catt Dahman, could offer you some examples of my work if you would like any other info. Here's where you can reach her: http://www.jellingtonashton.com/staff...

Preston,

Rather than depending upon testomonials from people you do not know, who may or may not be legitimate references, you might consider requesting instead a list of published books that were copy edited or conceptually edited by a potential candidate to edit your work.

You can then confirm any claims by contacting the authors of the books on the list provided. Every author will be able to provide the names of the copy and conceptual editors who assisted in polishing the author's work.

Renee E Look up Cathy Kodra. I know her, personally, and some of the books she's edited.

She's a GoodReads person, too.
