You had the width set at 40 pixels and the height at 100. The width should probably be 400, as follows:

Trial and error. If you click the link just above the comment box when you're creating a comment, that says "(some html is ok)", it includes format for the image link. I assume that's where you copied it from. But it goes on to say "Width must be 0-400, Height must be 0-1000". Those are the limits. So I usually start with one or the other and then adjust the other so the height and width maintain the correct proportions. If the image is supposed to be taller than it is wide, I would start with a height measurement of 400-500, then adjust the width measurement accordingly. If the image is supposed to be wider than it is tall, I'd start with a width measurement of 400-500 then adjust the height measurement appropriately. Make liberal use of the preview and adjust the settings until it look the way you want it to.

Anna Erishkigal (annaerishkigal) I think that number is pixels. You can convert inches to pixels, but you have to also know how many dpi (dots per inch) goodreads uses as their default. I assume it's 75 dpi as that's what most weblogs are. Here's a converter.

sailor _stuck_at_sea (thiel) | 63 comments A little late here, but the numbers are indeed pixels. The easiest way to find out the size of the image is to right click on it and click "view image info" in the dropdown menu
