Lasagna | 3 comments Hi everyone!!
I’m 15 years old and I love to read (obviously). When I’m not reading I like to write down ideas for books in a notebook. I also like to draw and binge watch Netflix series. 😁

Welcome, Faiz! You might be interested in our Classics Catchup challenge. Here is the link: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

ThirTeenTh TurTle (faizkt3) Thank you for your recommendation. But the problem is that i have my own want to read list. What if your challenge collide with it. I only read 5 to 6 books per month.

Faiz,

The Classics Catchup challenge lasts all year, so you do not have to read a classic book every month to participate in it. What you could do is look at your “want to read” list, then look at the monthly and yearly challenges in the group. Do any of the books you are going to read fit in any of those challenges? If yes, then you can post that book title in that challenge message board. If no, then don’t worry about it. We are a very relaxed group and we do not pressure our group members.

message 613: by ThirTeenTh (new)

ThirTeenTh TurTle (faizkt3) Currently reading sapiens. I will attempt the challenge after that. Looking forward to hearing from you people.

I’m glad you decided to post, Amanda. We are a very easy going group, so you never need to feel pressured to do anything here. There are a number of members in this group who also enjoy romance novels. You can always post about any books you are reading in this thread:

Pete Hi, everyone.

- My name is Alex

-17 years old

-Mother of 2 furry babies 🐶 🐶

-Favorite book: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

-Favorite series: Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

-One thing that I can not stand about a book is instant love! It literally kills my soul!!

I love almost all types of books.
Need recommendations

Also, if anyone can help me find this one book I’ll be extremely happy:
It’s about this man who has a desease or something and he goes to this assassin and tells him to kill him at any random day of the month but then the next day the doctors find a cure and now he has to outrun the assassin....

If you know what the book is called please let me know!!!!!!!

But that changes now :D So I'm Lukutar, I'm 25 years old and I'm from Finland! I mainly read fantasy, scifi, ya and historical fiction but I'm not really picky about books I read. I'm a student. When I'm not reading, I like to play video games, do some yoga or go for a walk, listen music and surf around the reading groups :) I also do geocaching, go for a longer hikes, cosplay and go to conventions and concerts. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the group, Lauren! Good luck with your reading challenge. It’s always fun to set a goal and try to meet it.

I’ve tried reading Cloud Atlas and it just wasn’t for me. Maybe someone else in the group has read it and can give to advice on it. Or maybe someone will take you up on the buddy read. Don’t feel bad if you choose to give up on a book, though. Life’s too short to force yourself to read a book you don’t enjoy.

message 634: by Elise (new)

Elise (redentrapy) Hi my name is Elise I just joined because I love reading and my tbr list is huge and I love to discuss books and do reading challenges. I might not do as much as some as a nurse in this crisis my time is short for hobbies but I need a release and some interaction with people feeling a little lonely from this social distancing. Since I just started advice on where to start with this group. Challenges have been going awhile can I still join in?

message 635: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl | 2544 comments Mod
Welcome to the group, Elise! Please feel free to join in any of the reading challenges at any time. Even the Genre Challenge does not require you to participate every month for every genre. We are a very relaxed group and emphasize reading for enjoyment above all.

Being a nurse must be stressful right now. I hope you take some time for yourself to just relax. You can talk about the books you read in this group, and hopefully that can be a good escape from stress.

message 636: by Alejandro (new)

Alejandro Hello, all!

My name is Sash, I'm 27 years old and I live in beautiful Sweden with my wife, my 3 human kiddos and my 3 furry ones.

My hobbies are: reading (I had abandoned the habit for many years due to hard work but got sucked in due to free time), writing, watching TV shows and movies and discussing them with my wife (she's a scientist so she HAS to analyze everything), studying online courses related to all my areas of interest (mainly STEAM) and dancing (latino dances: salsa and bachata).

Nice to be here and I hope I get the hang of knowing how to use this group. :D

John Hi. Adelaide, our moderator for "Classic Trash", mentioned this group and have been reading some of the books the group is into and jumped in. Am a "boomer" but just love the wonderful world of reading. audio books just have a missing ingredient for me( the inner voice) but they are great on long trips up to my hometown of Petawawa, Ontario. The book club at my local library is in flu
x and the prospect of starting up any time soon seems bleak. Sad. Have ventured into "aboriginal" writers lately, Cherie Dimaline, Edin Robinson. Alam Katsu and Jonathan Whitehead to name a few. The mixing of "first folk" tradition in our modern time are fantastic! Well any how thanks for allowing this boomer in your group. Later. Keep Reading.

Hi everyone! My name is Steph. I’ve been on Goodreads for most of this year, but have spent most of the time putting my books in, and not realising there was probably a community of bookworms like me on here (I get there eventually🤣).
I’m a married mom of three teenagers and an elderly beagle. I have read constantly my whole life and am a data dork about my reading habits (thanks #bookly). Looking forward to joining this community.
