Hello,
I search the name of a book I had read many years ago, whose title I can't remember.
The book consisted in "two parts".
At first, we follow the story of a man who has been burned in a fire. He will seek to create a new face (with a mask I think...) He then studies the faces of people (there are parts of analyzed faces, it was very interesting). He will then meet his wife (with his new face, aka masked): he has not seen her since his accident. From that point, he will try to win her back.
The second part focuses on the wife of the hero, and we realize that, in fact, from the moment she saw her husband again with his "new face", she immediately know it's him.
I also believe (but I'm really not sure) that the author was Asian.
