Let's talk about Matt Smith being the eleventh doctor.

~TARDIS_Erin~{She~They} I like the fact that he brings a childlike attitude into the doctor, when compared to, say, Peter Capaldi. I think he was probably the most popular among children because he wasn’t like your usual adult. He got into trouble, and would eat wired thing off the ground. I think he brought a whole new vibe into being the doctor. .... omg that’s so long.

Doctor Who Fan I♥♥DW | 389 comments The 11th Doctor was... idk the right word but- misleading? Like he was all happy and puppylike and stuff, but he also got really dark? And he forgot the number of children in gallifrey (referenced in 50th anniversary). He also basically owns that he's the big bad that all the other big bad aliens are afraid of (thinking of the pandorica here). But he also brings a lot of levity to the Doctor that I think I missed my first time through his episodes. Perhaps the right word would be complex, but with a darker connotation.
