"He kicked my ass." Jefferson wiped the blood off his shoulder. "I'm more of a hand to hand combat guy. This mental sh*t confuses me."
She laughed. "Better luck next time.' She said
She chuckled. "I hope I knew a way to block him out of our heads." She muttered
"Hmm." Jefferson got more coffee. He drank it black, with a single cube of sugar.
She raised an eyebrow. "Is that an everyday thing, or just a today?" She asked
"Whenever I can get my hands on it at least."
She nodded her head. "I can't stomach coffee " She said
"Or alcohol, evidently." He laid down on the couch.
She rolled her eyes. "Yeah, that too." She sa I'd
Jefferson yawned. He wasn't tired, just exhausted.
She looked at him. "How do you feel?" She asked
"I'm fine." Jefferson looked at the cut on his arm. It was slightly deeper than he thought it had been.
She raised an eyebrow. "You sure?"She asked, looking pointy at the cut.
"Not the worst I've dealt with." Jefferson laughed.
She chuckled. "Your wierd." She said.
"You're the one who makes people see their fears."
She laughed. "Gee, rub that in my face, no?"
She shrugs. "I guess." She says
"You're alive because of it." Jefferson closed his eyes. He was tired.
She smiles. "I just wish I knew how to use it like that guy." She answered. "Why do you think he came after us?" She asks
"Those guys try to attack any and everyone they come across. Couldn't you tell that that guy's insane."
She shrugged. "But he acted as if he knew about me."
((Ahh! Sorry I thought I commented and didn't!))"Maybe he was trying to find someone with the same powers."
She nodded. "I guess." She muttered. "Anyways, you okay?"
She nods. "I mean if you feel really drained."
Jefferson stood up and got a cup of coffee. "Nah, I'm fine."
She nods. "Well, I guess that's good." She sad

"Yeah." Jefferson sat on the counter in the all but abandoned bar. "So who owns this place?"
She shrugs. "No idea."
I don't know how I'de never found this place before..."
She shrugged, and laughed a little. "Yeah, I came upon it one day." She said, shrugging
Jefferson went into a back room to look for food.
Jefferson found a can of soup. He ate it out of the can, without heating it.
((Sorry, didn't see it))Della looked at him. "What are you eating?" She asked, walking over
"Shoop" Jefferson said with his mouth full.
She nodded, but strangely, she wasn't hungry
"There's more." Jefferson pointed to the shelf of canned food.
She nods. "Not hungry right now." She said.
"More for me."Jefferson opened another can of soup.
She laughed. "Never mind, I'll get one." She said
She nods. "That's why I'm getting one." She says, as she gets one.
Jefferson finished the second can before lying on the sofa.
Della finished the soup, and felt full. Wierd how that seemed to happen.
