She sighed. "That's good." She said, yawning. She leaned back on the floor. "Favorite weather?" She asked, half asleep

"Rain. Without wind." Jefferson closed his eyes. He wanted to sleep.
she nodded.she was going to say something, but fell asleep instead
Jefferson dozed off soonly after, he used his jacket as a blanket.
((Ok))Della woke up, and looked around. "The fack..?" She asked.
Jefferson was already awake, he sat across the room, drinking a cup of coffee. "What?"
Della looked at him. "Nothing.." She said, yawning.
She nodded. She looked at him. "How come your up early?" She asked.
"I'm always up early." Jefferson poured another cup of coffee.
She frowned. "Your rare." She joked.
"I'm rare for waking up early? Not for surviving the apocalypse or controlling wind?" Jefferson laughed.
She laughed. "Yes." She said.
"Hmm." Jefferson cracked his knuckles. This was the most he'd talked to humans in months.
She looked at his hands. She looked at hers and tried to do the same.
Jefferson laughed. "Never cracked you knuckles?"
she rolled her eyes. "Yes, I have." She said. "But..." She said. "I just don't know how to do it like you." She added.
Jefferson pushed her hand into a fist, then pressed down with an open palm, all of her knuckles cracked simultaneously.
She shrieked and pulled her hand back, grimacing. "Did you break my hand or something?" She asked.
"Nah." Suddenly Jefferson began to stare off into space. He didn't blink or move.
Della raised an eyebrow and shook his shoulder. "Hey, you alright?"
Jefferson blinked. He wiped sweat of his forehead. "Sorry." He couldn't tell her that he was occasionally haunted by visions of his dead best friend.
Della raised an eyebrow. "You sure?" She asked, still worried
"Yeah." The smile he was wearing had faded.
She looked at him. "You can tell me, you know." She said, resting a hand on his shoulder
"I've known you for a day. Not even." Jefferson snapped. He grabbed his coat with a flourish, pulled it on, and left. He leaped onto the roof and sat there, silently.
Della rolled her eyes and sighed. "It was a suggestion, not order." She called after him.
Jefferson took a deep breath. He wanted her to say something first.
Della looked out. "My parents were killed in front of me." She said. "My brother was in school. I didn't get to see him." That day, she hadn't seen her little brother, and She stayed home sick. When she went to go find his body or something..it wasn't even there anymore.
"I killed him." Jefferson choked out. "My only friend. The blood was on my hands and that's something I'll never be able to wash out."
Della looked at him. "I'm sorry." She said. She climbed up the roof, not as fast as he did, but still.
"You had nothing to do with this. Don't be sorry. I was supposed to protect him and I failed." Jefferson looked into the horizon.
Della shook her head. "You shouldn't blame youself either. You did what you had to do."
"I could have saved him, it would have been as easy as not shooting at the group. A misunderstanding." Jefferson cut off again. "Why am I even telling you all of this."
Della shrugged and rested her head on her knees. "Maybe because you need someone to hear." She said.
"Hmmm" Jefferson took a deep breath. "Thank you."
She smiled. "No problem." She said, looking at him.
((Sorry I'm watching a movie :-b ))Jefferson jumped off the roof and went back inside.
Della just chuckled a little, and got down behind him.
"I shot first, because I thought they were attacking us. They shot back, he was caught in it." It felt somewhat good to be able to get this off his chest. "They fled, I was fine. He wasn't." Jefferson paused. "I had to relieve him of his pain." He quickly wiped a tear off his face.
She frowned. "Think of it as this: He's in a better place. He doesn't have to go through this hell." She said.
Jefferson began laughing hysterically. "You believe in that sh*t?!" He bent over the table cracking up.
She rolled her eyes. "Gee, no thanks Della." She said, chuckling. "Yes, I do." She added.
"Believe what you want." Jefferson huffed. He took a large gulp of whiskey. It had been s long morning.
She rested her chin on her hands. "What do you believe?" She asked him.
"Nothing. Vast emptiness with no reason."
She furrowed her eyebrows. "No, you dont. I mean, you've got to belive in things like..heaven, reincarnation." She said.
"Nope." Jefferson drank more. "We are a meaningless species in a universe of billions of other meaningless species that we will never meet."
