On 13th November, my poetry collection about a lifetime spent in and around public sector psychiatry - The New Asylum - had a wonderful book launch, here in Beechworth.

The event was very well attended, and our local Federal Member of Parliament for Indi - the Independent Dr Helen Haines MP was guest reader for the occasion, reading the poem 'Taxi Shuttle' beautifully.

It was a huge day, Brenda - thank you - and really quite wonderful, and it seems that it has been very well received by all attendees as well - the feedback is just lovely.

I'm bushed though. Off to Melbourne now for for some library appearances and will actually venture all the way to Wagga late next week.
