I have been so busy with school that I do not have that much time to read. I was thinking for winter break we should all re-read books we have not read in awhile. It's just a thought. It would be a nice break from endless school work!

Agreed! It would be nice to go back to some old favourite, but I just can't seem to find the time right now because of school.

There are at least 10 of them. I also want to re read the lunar chronicles before fairest comes out in January!
This sounds fun! Do you want to make it an "official" readathon where some of us post about it to let people know, do challenges and such? By the way, if you guys don't want to, it's totally fine.

The night circus, catch 22, Harry Potter, child 44, shadow of the wind, lunar chronicles, and his dark materials. It's been awhile since I've read these amazing books.

Sounds amazing let me know what I can do to help get it going, I could think of challanges if we wanted them, or come up with possible giveaways

I really want to make it a thing, but I'll do it when I have Adrienne's permission. Then I'll set up things so people who are interested can be hosts too
Make it happen guys. I do not care what goes on! I do know that most read-a-thons are only a week. But there is NO WAY I can read what I want to in one week!!!

For me, it's December 22 - January 2, should it be one week, or should it be the whole break?
Well mine is a whole month. (College) I think we just get longer breaks. So that is why I was thinking the full month.

I don't have a Booktube channel either. I'm really camera shy too and I find it easier to keep a book blog because I find it takes too much time to film and edit and upload and everything.
This sounds like a ton of fun and I'd love to host! I have my channel over on booktube, and we could split up the challenges between that and here on goodreads or something.

I star..."A great way to start is doing something like the My Life in Books tag, it helps people get to know you, it's really fun, and you get to talk about books you love. It does get easier, what people didn't see in my first video was the 15 minutes of me making awkward dinosaur sounds trying not to freak out.

My break is three weeks starting 19th
I believe my break falls around the 22nd to the 2nd and I would love to be a host and can anyone teach me how to start a blog I have many ideas but do not even know where to begin but I do read quite a lot... Inbox or reply please
I love this idea! I can host and spread the word too with my blog. I just need to know about groups/ channels/ various other things as well as dates. I can help with challenges and giveaways too. (I just can't do international shipping because that is way too expensive)I think we should do it for the whole month too because not everyone can read what they want to in two weeks and I still don't know when my winter break is.
I like the idea of it being one month, because for the people who celebrate Chriatmas (I don't), I don't think they will be able to read that much and also, the week before the break is when I usually have tests and such. But still, it would be quite a challenge to host it for a whole month... What do you guys think?
Maybe two and half weeks or three weeks because people might loose interest in a month long read-a-thon. It still gives people who celebrate all the holidays time to read. What about December 18th to January 1st? I looked at the calendar and that seems long enough.

How should we organize it though? I know that's a weird question, but are we going to have a group here on Goodreads or host it through various YouTube channels and blogs or both.
