I have an author wondering why the purchase link to Amazon and other online bookstores is dead. Her books were supposed to be linked from AZ to GR, but something has gone wrong. I have noticed this with other authors too and just thought it was a glitch. How can we get the link to take the reader directly to the book on Amazon?

You cannot the get a copy links are personalized by the user. Only thing to make sure is that there are valid ISBN/ASIN numbers assigned.

Thanks so much for such a prompt reply.
the buy links are book specific, they will work when buy link is used with exact edition.(e.g. epub ebooks are not going to work when you click amazon only kindle)
e.g.
this edition works for amazon https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
but this one will not https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
