SOLVED. book about a woman whose husband dies from eating mushrooms [s]

I can't remember who wrote it but it was definitely a woman probably chick-lit genre.
I remember she is in a bad marriage with a horrible man and she hides it from her family, he beats her up and then when they are staying at her parents house he picks some mushrooms and makes her check they are safe to eat and although she is tempted to poison him with one she doesn't and he dies anyway.
Any help? I read this about 5 years ago.

Wow, the summary totally says nothing whatsoever about a horrible husband or mushrooms -- it looks/sounds like a comedy. Good thing we have this group, otherwise nobody would ever find anything!
