One beta reader characterized my novel Tangled as "Oliver Twist meets the Marquis de Sade". I would say it's fast-moving horror blended with psychological tension, dark fantasy, and love. Set in 12th century England, "Tangled" is written to stand on its own but also to continue the storyline of The Taking from another character's perspective.
