My one regret about this book is that was *this close* to getting a bingo on it, and missed it. There were more than a few scenes where I was "is it gonna do the thing and give me a bingo??" and it did not and I am disappointed. Not least because I am one spot away from bingo in five different places. I didn't know it was possible to fill so much of a board and still not get bingo lol. Oh well, I've just gotta home my next read is more fruitful.

Wow, Hannah, keep with it - I've just finished it - took me about 10 days. But I've given it a 5-star review. Very surprised that I had never heard of it or the author before.

I’m trying to focus on East Lynne. I’ve never read any of Mrs Henry Wood, but so far I’m up to chapter 7. I really hope she gets a happy ending. That’s what fiction is right? 😉

It seems all of us have enjoyed this!

Is there anybody in the group who has NOT enjoyed it?????????? That is my question.

So I will be reading The Tenant of Wildfell Hall."
Yay! she's my favourite and the unfairly overlooked a lot of the time :)

Thanks Maureen, I did need a little encouragement after I accidentally saw a spoiler on someone's instagram comment. I'm getting too attached to Isabelle :)

Me too. I once tried to read Aurora Leigh, but unused to that kind of writing it was too difficult for me then. I might fare better now...."
Just finished the collection. Did you enjoy reading her? I really did.
