Do you think that the average 1st world country citizen is willing to believe what the goverment and/or companies and brands he/she trusts more than commmon sense? In other words, we have the freedom to do whatever we want, but how are we influenced on how to make those choices?

People believe what they are told because it's easier that way than to think for their own selves.
TV is the prefered vehicle for the mass misconceptions that are "fed" the public. It used to be radio ... ever hear of George Orwells "War of the Worlds" broadcast?
