I love the Open but I'm glad it's over! Late weekday nights and the stress of hoping my player is going to win drives me crazy. lol
I'm not a football fan, I've been to one Jets game, (I live in NJ and Giants tickets are expensive!) but I do love baseball. I'm actually going to a Mets game on Saturday. (Don't judge me. I get my friend tickets every year for his birthday.)
I spent yesterday catching up on life so I will hopefully get back to reading today!
That is awesome that you are going to a Mets game! I have to admit that I am a Phillies fan, have been since I was like 7. Yeah, I know, we always lose, but I still love them. For a while there I had hoped that the Mets would be in the Wild Card race (between you and me, there is no way the Phillies can be consistent enough). I'd love to see another Yankees/Mets World Series but in the end, It's either going to be Astros or Dodgers vs Yankees this year (my prediction). I love baseball way more than football.

I went to a Phillies game a few years back. People warmed me, Phillies fans are animals, don't waste your time. I actually had a great time.
I've been to Yankees vs Boston games where WAY worse sh*t went on! My sister breaking up a fight, I always wind up with some drunk jerk sloshing beer on to me and there was the time a guy got beat up in the stands while his toddler was in the seat next to him!
I've tried to get to as many baseball parks as I can. (Wish I had thought of that when I first started visiting all 50 states!) Pittsburgh is a nice one and I really loved the Royals stadium.
LOL. I know Phillies fans are notorious. Jayson Werth (who was a Phillie right fielder, before he went to the Nationals) told Bryce Harper that the Phillies fans are the worst losers but the best winners.

I was expecting LA riots! lol
Luckily the Phillies did win that night and nothing happened to the opposite team fans (because I heard their are always fights after). We walked out and everyone was happy, the same hustler trying to get money for a knockoff t-shirt (which happens outside almost every stadium) was on the corner of the parking garage, but that was it.
I feel like the worse stadium I've been to (so far) was the Nationals.
Karen, do you live in PA? Just curious because you're a Phillies fan.

I know where that's at--like an hour and a half from me.
How's everyone doing? I have to admit, that I am not doing as well as usual. 3 trips to plan for this Fall

I'm smiling because I am having same problem. How do you like the book you are reading?

I am doing horrible. I only finished 3 books and I feel like I'm in a reading slump.
Back at work today so hopefully I can throw on an audio book and get back into the swing of things.

I'm enjoying it but it is going very slow. I am still reading it.
Thanks Leticia for setting this up. I'll be away for a few weeks, and I doubt that I will get any more reading done than a few pages

Hi everyone, I just wanted to find out if there is any interest to set up a 3 week read-a-thon for the rest of October. I would be more than happy to set it up. So, what do you think?
Ok, I set up a remaining read-a-thon for October. I really like the monthly overview, even if I don't read very much.
