Ivy I was sucked into this book in the first chapter! Omg the character development and the way the chapters were written was amazing. This was added to my favorite list for sure. I could find no fault in the book... So far.

Ivy Ok question... How do I become part of the live shows?

Kara Bianca (kbianca) I really really loved this book! I borrowed it out from my library and it went immediately on to my list of things I needed to buy for my shelf. I've always been a fan of superhero movies and the general genre but I have ALSO always been a fan of anti-heroes like Artemis Fowl who you know have such large flaws in their character but you can't help but love them. For me, this book was the perfect blend!

And also the ending I felt was very good. I didn't feel like it was a cop out at all, it felt right and true for those characters, and I liked that ultimately it wasn't one giant big complicated battle scene. It was a mental battle, which I enjoyed even more.

Jacquie Marques (jacquie_fortin) | 6 comments I loved that every character was super flawed, because it brought up so many big questions about what it means to be a good person and what it means to do the right thing.

Also this book kept me guessing the whole time, and I loved it. Like the ending! Victor, you clever, clever messed up bastard. What a way to get back at Eli. (Of course he's not much better than Eli, in fact they're more similar than different, but I think the giant "righteous" killing streak made Eli's brand of crazy a bit worse than Victor's).

Also I know It's kind of silly to wonder what happens to characters after the book ends, but I can't help it. I have to wonder what all the characters decided to do after bringing Victor back. Sydney has no where to go really, (I mean I guess she has parents, but they suck) but staying with Victor seems like a bad idea. And what is Victor going to do with himself now that the Eli rivalry is over? I know Mitch was wondering that too. I'm curious whether or not Mitch would stay with Victor since doesn't seem to have anywhere in particular to go either. What do you guys imagine they did?

Rebecca Jane (bec3sjhdbzljldsgwsm) | 27 comments I don't think he intended to live until he found Sydney.

Actually yeah, you're probably right.

Rebecca Gatzlaff | 15 comments I love this book! I loved the characters and the ending of vicious was amazing! I loved the theme of this book and how it was incorporated throughout the book.

Bookworm | 20 comments I'm so glad that I decided to pick up this book, because I ended up loving it! For the first 100 pages, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but it got so much better after that. One of my favorite things about this book is the writing style, which I found very unique and gripping. I actually made my peace with both Eli and Victor being villains, and I'm particularly happy with the way the book ended. My favorite characters were Sydney, Mitch and Victor. (And Dol was so sweet! I love dogs!) All in all, I would rate this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Miss Diana Overall, I loved the writing and descriptions, the characters, and the twist on superheroes through EOs. I really enjoyed the ending. It was suspenseful and seemed justified (well, as justified as you can get when all the characters are a bit wicked) and eveything just fit. I was really happy with Dominic's ability and how perfect it was for the situations at the end. The only thing I'm bummed about is how inevitably Serena needed to die. I think she would've made a really kickass character if she hadn't been so evil as to lead to her own demise.

I would love for there to be a second book! I found myself wanting to see what happened after Victor was raised as well. Honestly, since Eli theoretically is impossible to kill, I imagine he could escape prison and seek revenge on the others. I also would love to see new EOs and more chaos that could ensue. I'd love to see more character development and world building in a second book!

Tascha (misskattiec) | 22 comments I finished the book last night, I just couldn't stop reading after the first half of the second part. I loved the book and the characters, because they are so flawed and wicked.
I really hope there is a second book. I think there is potential for a sequel. I'd love to see what Victor's going to do now that Eli is found and "defeated" and if Sydney and/or Mitch are staying with him.

Alexis U (axisinspired) | 15 comments Omygod, what just happened? I am just so happy with how this book turned out. I was so on-edge for the entire last quarter of the book and I couldn't put it down. I want to know what comes next! What happens with Victor?!? Is he able to control his powers now that he's died and come back??? What more is missing from him?? I'm both excited and anxious. I am really okay with the ending but at the same time, I feel like I could follow these characters forever.

Also, I seriously considered putting the book down when Mitch put the gun to his head and pulled the trigger... stupid mid-chapter cliff hangers.

Lily GUYS, Victoria Schwab is writing a second book!!
This one was so good and amazing and gahh. Definitely a good choice to read this month.

Evisa Rami | 10 comments It's amazing how you guys are so fascinated by this book, but unfortunately I do not share the same excitement as the majority of you. I did like the author's style. She did a great job in describing the characters, and making each of them unique. But I didn't quite like the plot. I was not impressed, and it didn't strike me as very creative. I am a little disappointed with Victor's 'big plan', and the ending in general (a little too predictable).

That's how I felt about both Obsidian and Ready Player One. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy this one, but hopefully next month is better for you. :)

Ross Davidson | 10 comments I loved this book. The characters, the story... all built up to a thrilling and suspenseful climax. None of the characters were inherently good or bad, which I enjoyed. Each danced in dark in light. The ending was satisfying, but I'd more than happily read a series starring these superpowered people.

Yesss! Everybody had a touch of villainy and crazy in them... is it weird I like them all because of that?

message 20: by Rose (new) - rated it 5 stars

Rose (bookishrose) | 9 comments I loved the very end. The final moment made my day. I really liked the relationship between Sydney and Victor. Even if it was not perfectly developed (in my opinion).

What did you think of Victor? (as a character and a person)

★Ashli★ (muchfaith22) Finally finished it, and it was good. Very interesting. I wonder if Victor still has his powers still? I thought it ended just as it should have, how I hoped it would. I am not all enthralled with the book, it was good, but not a high fave or anything. I rated it 3.5/4 stars. I'd probably pick up a sequel though.

Victoria said that dying and being resurrected by S's powers doesn't make you lose them. But that it affects you in another way. Provably to be developed in book 2 :)

YES!!!!

I AGREE!!! Sydney is the lovely friend we all need. Victor really needed good friends and good influences. I think.

Ivy Wait is there a book 2?

message 26: by Sara (new) - added it

Sara (Freadom Library) (freadomlibrary) I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I absolutely loved it to pieces, so much so that I made a video on my Booktube channel about it.

Here's the link if you'd like to check it out: http://youtu.be/kBZCYXxywHE

She said that on twitter and/or tumblr. You didn't miss it on the book. Powers can be more developed (WHO WOULD HAVE GUESSED!!!!).

Rose (bookishrose) | 9 comments Ivy wrote: "Wait is there a book 2?"

As far as I know yes. I think she said so on Tumblr or/and Twitter. I won't bet lots of money on it, though.

Kassie (sassyykassie) | 36 comments The story was amazing!

"There are no good men in this game" was my favorite line so far, and the accuracy there of the real world, letting us see that these characters aren't black and white, but instead fully formed with their own sense of morality- however skewed it may be. That was amazing to me

I loved Mitch the most, he was some pretty great comedic relief while still being so important to the plot.

5 stars here. CANT WAIT FOR THE LIVE SHOW!

Keshia Barbee (kesh_dots) | 5 comments 5 stars! the ending was soo flawless and kept me on the edge of my seat... would have liked to see a more permanent end for Eli though.

message 31: by Lu (last edited Oct 26, 2014 11:58AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lu (analureads) This book was amazing! I loved the characters and the ending was perfect for the book, but I really wish we would get a sequel, since there's lots that could be developed. The fight scene was very realistic in my opinion, and Victor's line "When no one understands, that's usually a good sign that you're wrong" was like a slap in Eli's face. Victoria Schwab started some great discussions with this book!

Lacey | 8 comments This book was definitely quite different than anything I've ever read before. I did end up liking Victor over Eli, and I loved Sydney and Mitch! There were several times when I cringed cuz I thought Mitch was gonna get killed! lol! I LOVED the ending too! I'm hoping there will be more of this story..it looks like it might be a series!
