Scalefur stalked a mouse, eyes focused only on it. He stepped forward, and a crackle sounded from under his paw. The mouse darted away, and he hissed with frustration. One mouse. One mouse is all I need!

[Willow]

Moonglow walked into the clearing, sniffing the air. Come on... I can't go back empty-pawed!

He groaned to himself. Why can't I get anything right?

[Willow]

Moonglow saw a mouse, and crouched. She leaped, and missed, landing face down in a pile of mud, right next to Scalefur.

Scalefur looked over at the cat who's face was planted in the mud beside him. He frowned. "What are you doing?"

[Willow]

Moonglow got up and shook the mud off. She blushed, and looked at her paws. "I was trying to catch a mouse..." She mumbled.

Understanding sparked in his eyes. "Oh! Yeah, sorry. I missed it too."

[Willow]

Moonglow looked up. "Really? I'm not the only one that's bad at catching mice?" She asked, bewildered. ((she seriously thought she was the only one that was bad at hunting mice...))

"Of course not!" Scalefur chuckled. "We are RiverClan, after all. We were born to catch fish, not mice."

Moonglow smiled and let out a sigh of relief. "I thought I was the only one that was bad. But I bet I'm the only one that's ended up in a mud puddle..." She said with a small laugh.

"Nah. I'm sure there was someone who did worse while catching a mouse."

Moonglow smiled. "I doubt it." She replied.

"Like what? Running into a tree?" She said with a small laugh.

Scalefur shrugged. "Maybe. Or maybe they fell off a cliff while chasing the mouse! We will never know."

Moonglow laughed. "Of course we'll never know! They'll probably never come back up!" She said with a smile.

He smiled. "Yeah."

Moonglow smiled. "So far, you're the only one that thinks I'm funny." She said looking at the ground.

Scalefur shot her a skeptical look. "I really doubt that."

"I'm pretty sure. When I try to joke around they just stare at me..." She said, looking at her paws.

"Thanks." Moonglow replied, blushing.

He realized that they were too close for his liking, and stepped back a bit. Scalefur smiled slightly, "We should go back."
