It took me a little time to get into the flow of ‘The Cat in the Hat’ but once I was there I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is simply worded yet cleverly constructed, imaginative in its telling yet plausible as a children’s story, very practical as a learning aid, not just for beginners but also for encouraging expression from more practiced readers – even has a positive message about clearing up after yourself. Lots of fun
