Misha Volkov was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia to a mother that was quite frail. She only lived a month after his birth, and his father was so wrapped up in his own world of crime and destruction that he didn't give a damn about his only son. So Misha was given to his mothers parents to be taken care of, they were wealthy, secure, stable people that would raise Misha properly until the time came for the child to take over the family business, being part of the Russian Mob. Of course Misha's grandparents had no idea that that was what was planned for the motherless infant, but they were overjoyed to be able to have their grandson in their lives, he looked just like his mother with his dark, unruly hair, and clear blue eyes. The grandparents were among the elite when it came to Russian society, so the new relative that had entered their lives did not go unnoticed. A party was thrown, gifts were given, the child wasn't missing a thing in his Nursery OR playroom. Misha had one nanny, but she didn't ever have to do too much really, mostly she was there to lend a hand now and again. THe grandparents hardly missed a beat when it came to their grandson's first years. They were there when he said his first words, crawled, walked, ate real food for the first time, all of it.
