Was there any justification for Roger lying about Bobby, even after the murders started?

I can see the lie when Rowan was young, to try and make her feel secure, that she was safe. But, he really should have told her when she got older, especially when she decided to be an FBI Agent and for sure when the murders started.

Ditto, Anita. I thought Roger was irresponsible about keeping it a secret that Bobby was alive, especially as soon as murders aimed at Rowan occurred. I was quite angry with him. His judgment was screwed up by his feelings for her.

Anita, I couldn’t say it any better! My feelings exactly. What was he thinking???

He only wanted to protect her and he was sure that Bobby was locked up so he couldn't have been the murderer. Still, she really deserved to know he was alive.
