Did you suspect Michael had been drugged at the time he met the “businessman” in the bar? Did his death take you by surprise?

[Anita]

I was yelling at the book "NO, no, no. Get away from this dude, this isn't right." I really hoped he didn't die.

[Charlene]

I was sure there was something added to his drink, and I vainly hoped he'd escape that trap; I really liked Michael as a person.

[Jonetta]

Oh, poor Michael. Like you, Anita, I was screaming in my head, “Michael, don’t take that drink!!!” If he’d been paying attention, he might have been on alert, known his home had been infiltrated. I still was stunned when he was killed and was still holding out hope that he’d survived.

[Anita]

I really liked Michael. After John stole the girl, I hoped he would get his HEA in the next book, not get killed!
