Finished. Review on home page. So much better than I was expecting, but it will make me look at the sea differently.

I was really surprised by the blend of fantasy/science. Felt a little slow starting off, but these mermaids (for want of a better word) are terrifying!

Totally agree! (view spoiler)[I also like the mix of characters, especially how diverse they are. The whole being "stuck on the boat and nowhere to go" increases the urgency of the situation and makes me more anxious for the characters because what can they do but try to survive? That's stressful lol (hide spoiler)]

I agree! I was rooting for the characters the whole time
