Howdy Ladies! You new ones too! If we want to keep our book club into next year, it is now time to start developing our 2015 list. By tradition we have taken a break in November and December. This year my book "The Historian" is kinda long and may run a little into November, then we'll have our break.

Let me know what you all would like to do. Pick your month and your book. Eager to see what you choose. If you've already read a book that you would like to chat about that's great too, or if you have one on your TBR list that would be fun too.

Also, if you would like to terminate our club, let me know that as well.

It's been a pleasure I'm game to go ahead, would like to know what you all think. Thanks - Carol

One of my favorite books we read as a group early on was about our cute dog, I think it was Alisha's pick. I loved it. Hope you don't mind but I'd like to read the next one "A DOG'S JOURNEY" BY W. BRUCE CAMERON. We may have a chance to add more books a little later after everyone get's at least one loaded!

I can't decide for sure which one: Second Choice: Blood and Thunder: An Epic of the American West by Hampton Sides. I've heard him speak, and he is wonderfully awesome - he's a New Mexico Native. I haven't read any of his books yet, but want to.

HELP ME DECIDE-- ALL IDEAS WELCOME!!

Diana S Both sounds really good. But I think I favor A Dog's Journey

Do any of the rest of you want to submit a recommendation for books for next year, or do you have input if you want the book club to continue or not????

Hello all--I've submitted questions for The Historian,
and checking to see if you all want to submit books for next year. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I don't know if you looked at the Goodreads Books of the Year and /or voted on any. One that I had voted on was the book called "In the Kingdom of Ice: The Grand and Terrible Polar Voyage of the USS Jeannette" by Hampton Sides. He is one awesome author. I heard him live on Monday Night, and he just blows my mind away. He writes and researches at amazing levels. Recommend this book if you like this type of writing.

Just following up with those of us and hopefully others that said they want to keep book club going. As you can see, we need quite a few more months to fill in the next year. If you have changed your mind, let me know. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Will be thinking of you all!!!!

Hi Cheryl. Good to see you. Both of these books look good to me. Diana chose Valley of Amazement, so lets go with that.

Sorry I haven't been in touch. My father passed away two weeks ago, and it has been kind of a tough time. I miss him very much, and he was quite ill.

Would like to hear from others of you if you would like, as we only have three books chosen. Looking forward to reading
"A Dog's Journey" So we'll read that in January, then have questions February 1. Alisha got us started with this author and I loved that book!

You all have a Happy New Year!!! Hugs - Carol

Diana S Could we have a thread for Questions/ general Comments for each month? and maybe a thread where are members can list and make comments on books they're currently reading? :)

I was hoping more and different ones of us would like to submit books for April thru October. A series I just love is
"A Dublin Student Doctor (Irish Country #6)" by Patrick Taylor. So I'm going to submit that for April Reading. What books would you like to read?
