So I've just finished the book, and I absoloutly loved it. One of my favorites in the series so far, however something is bothering me. When Lacey is tied up in the tunnel she hears someone screaming and drowning who she believes to be Nadia, later we discover Nadia is alive. So who was the girl that was screaming and drowned in that tunnel? Or was the noise just Nadia faking it?

I thought it was the girl who disappeared from the hospital - I read it a while ago so maybe I'm remembering wrong.
I thought it was Nadia faking it. The girl from the hospital who's story we had been following- she was tied up on the garbage ship, or something.
