How It Fits: #9 OMG You Almost Died mm with hospital scenes
Date Read: 11/5
Rating: 4*
This was a re-Read for me and although it was the beginning of last year when I Read I don’t think I took much of it in as it was like reading for the first time. I enjoyed the interaction between Ty and Zane as they tried to deal with their troubled past and their growing attraction to each other. The serial killer plot kept me guessing until nearly the end, when I realised who it was. Definitely continuing on with the series.

Review- I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I loved the synopsis and wasn't sure it could live up to what I thought it would be like in my head. The author had me cheering for the ugly stepsister which is what it was supposed to do. I would recommend this book to everyone who likes retellings. This one is a twist on the story because it doesn't follow the "Cinderella" character at all.

Review ~ this will be a quick review because I totally forgot to make my completion post. I really liked this first book and I thought Penelope and Michael were great together. I love his nickname for her, Sixpence & how she gave Bourne lessons on what's good for the goose is good for the gander. I want to read the rest of the series but according to the reviews those books are not as good so I'm hesitant to venture further into the series.

Review
This was a well written love story that was full of heartache and angst. Julia is an ambassadors daughter haunted by a dark past. Crank is a struggling musician trying to earn a living through his music despite his father’s disapproval. When they meet at an anti- war protest in Washington they click and share a kiss before going their seperate ways. What follows is a journey of friendship, misplaced trust, betrayal and self discovery as they fall in love.

Review- I've enjoyed all the Jane Fallon books I've read but this one was just a tad longer then it needed to be. It was still good but she used a lot of fluff that didn't need to be there. I still loved the story and I'm still loving her writing style. This is my 4th book I've read from this author and all 4 books are about a cheating husband. I kind of hope she changes up her story lines with the other books. They've all been different but how many books can you write about a cheating husband. Don't get me wrong I've really liked all the books I've read but I see a theme with her writing.

I liked Ty & Zane but the shit they went thru & the angst. Not a fan. The only reason I gave it as many stars as I did was the fact that I finished it. Talking about the killer hiding in plain sight come on guys!
