I don't know what to say. part of me agrees with you. alot of time when talking about something on their board to another one I just write m/t or say my other board but wonder if they know what I'm talking about. I agree if people say mystery thriller and enjoy those types of books we might get more people involved. I'm okay with whatever everyone else wants.
Sounds good to me! But then I'm easy......which has been a problem for me going back to my teenage years! ;-)
I am good with the change of our name too! I love a day with posts to read here and miss visiting when there are not. The boards with thousands of members seem a bit impersonal which is one if the advantages of our group. A few more members won't hurt us though! To any lurkers out there - feel free to jump in on any discussions!
This is a good idea. Revise the description as well to make us look more forward looking, not a relic of a past group. I think we can safely bury the AOL past.
I guess that is a good idea too I liked keeping it it but that might also keep people away. maybe also if we know of people on other boards that are mystery/thriller lovers it might be a good idea to send them invites. I know I'm always getting invites.
I am fine with the name change as well, as I think it can only enhance our group. Sorry for being a lurker these days, hope to be back on track in a few!
I'm fine with the change but can't believe we're letting Melodie get off so "easy" on the way she slipped in her little confession there ;)
L'm new to the group since last week and in the back of my head I knew what M/T meant but went to check it out. But the name change sounds good.

And the name is officially changed! Thanks for the input everyone! We are thrilled to have Dominique join us and look forward to more book talk among friends!

No worries if we decide to tinker with the description again, Carol! I didn't completely bury the AOL past, since it helps identify us with a bread crumb in case the new name change is initially confusing or if a former member wants to find us. I guess it might "age us" a bit, but that is ok with me. :)Carol/Bonadie wrote: "Looks good, Ann! And thanks for the edit to the summary also."

So I'm proposing to alter the name to "Mystery/Thriller Reading Friends." If you have a reason why this isn't a good idea -- especially if it would screw up some automation in GR or something else I haven't thought of -- let me know. We'll get feedback for a week and then if there are no major objections, make the change.
