I have Scrivners moon, the family romanov and a bunch of manga/ comics. I can read a book in a day, if i enjoy it and it is. o more then 400 pages. Exception is non fiction, and summer. Summer I am always doing aomething outside, so it takes me a we week or so. Usual is 2 -6 days
My library has recently started lending digital material on a site called Hoopla. Has anyone heard of or used Hoopla? I was wondering how it is. They also use overdrive so I was confused when I saw that this was added.
I just downloaded Overdrive and Hoopla and have gotten some audiobooks out on Hoopla, but I will try Overdrive too. Not sure of the difference either, but seems like different titles and formats available.I have Homegoing and The Girls currently out to listen to. Picking up A Spool of Blue Thread today. Also have Americanah out on loan.
I have used overdrive. There is an audio I wanted that they only had on hoopla. So it is download? I may try it.
I have what I hope are some great books: Homegoing, The Underground Railroad, The Tenth Witness, The Death of the Heart
My current list from the library is: The Cruelest Month by Louise Penny
Sunset Express by Robert Crais
The Forgotten Room by Karen White
The Dark Lady's Mask by Mary Sharratt
In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
All the Missing Girls by Megan Miranda
The Hamilton Affair by Elizabeth Cobbs
All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker
At the moment I am borrowing a lot of cooking books to find slow cooker recipes. Last time I was there this week, the lady at the desk said I had "half the library to take home" as all my reservations came all at the same time. When I said I'd have to choose as we're only allowed to take 8 books, she said not to worry as I could also borrow books using my son's card... Poor thing, half his books are actually mine...
I have a ton of books on loan and I am determined to read and finish them all!The one that I am almost done reading is: Coraline
One that I am currently reading and trying to get into:Sabotage: The Mission to Destroy Hitler's Atomic Bomb: Young Adult Edition
Then it will go in order:
The Tales of Beedle the Bard
One Piece Volume 14 and 15 (almost done with volume 13)
A Wrinkle in Time
Scarlet
Tiger's Curse
and finally: Six of Crows
