I am really digging this book. I am especially enjoying the use of text and image layout to tell the stories. This approach reminds me of House of Leaves and The Raw Shark Texts, both of which I adored.
The audio production is fantastic but I think I’m going to have to take some serious notes on this one 😆
The format is definitely a plus in the pace for this one - I feel like I am just tearing through it! I love it so far... there are a few times where I have to re-read a passage because I think *something* else is happening and I am not quite sure what? I am sure it will all make sense! But this is good so far :)

There are some rugged, strong-willed girls in this book. Travelling up that mountain all alone. I love it! Also, what is up with the blue room? What terrible things happened to Roan? Wait don't tell me. I need to keep reading, lol.How are you all getting on with this book?

I am definitely intrigued by this blue room... heck, all the rooms!
There are many characters to keep track of and so many strange things happening. What is this ram that keeps peeking in on her? Is he Black Phillip?! What did Roan's dad do to her growing up? The little snippet that was just revealed was a bit chilling. And I like that the oaf of a tutor/teacher is turning out to be a decent giant, lol.I'm not quite finished with Part 2 yet but I am intrigued. I do wish I had the hardcover because I am a little confused at the time shifts but I'm getting used to things a bit better now.

Did anyone but me think this was going to be a chomp and stomp monster book based on the name alone? I would've been happy with that but mentions of Faustus, spells, witches, ghosts, and maybe even Black Phillip ?! I don’t know where this book is leading me but I’m sure as hell going to follow it anywhere now.

I love it and when I opened that one page and it was like "BAM GIANT BLACK PHILLIP-ESQUE GOAT DRAWIN THAT TAKES UP 2 PAGES RIGHT IN YOUR FACE!!!!!!!" ..... I was down for it! lol

Haha, it's a weird one and I'm a little confused but it is so creepy I don't ever want to stop listening to it.
There is a lot going on in this book and I'm done and still feel a bit confused. I may have to listen again.
Bark wrote: "The audio production is fantastic but I think I’m going to have to take some serious notes on this one 😆"The format is a bit off-putting to me as well. It is rather like a found footage film in a way.
Oh dear, I'm progressing very slowly with this one compared to previous months! I'm not sure why. What I've read so far is very good - definitely much better than the Ania Ahlborn we read for our last group read but one. I'm just not in the right headspace at the moment. Still, nearly half of September to go!

If I were reading it in paper, I'm pretty certain I would still be working my through it.
I'm starting this today. If anyone else is getting a late start, I can be your friend. :) Otherwise, well, I hope to enjoy this. I'm going to be listening to the audio.
