I can't remember the name of it but I read it about a year or two ago. It might have been older. It can be categorized in adult fiction, romance, sic-fic.

There was some kind of war on earth with aliens. The main character was a woman, and a soldier I think. She ditches her ex friend or boyfriend to go searching for her sister. She ends up on some kind of hillside battle with the aliens at the beginning. After a while she ends up guy who takes her to his planet. Even though she has the hots for this guys she fights him and her feelings for him with the excuse of looking for her cousin. I think he locks her in an apartment so she can't keep attacking him. It turns out her cousin is on the same planet as she is and married to one of the guys relatives. Her cousin is really her sister because their father was a jerk and made them say they are cousins for some stupid reason I can't remember. This weird family history gives the main character a complex because she looks like her sister but considers her sister better than her. She feels the need to always protect her sister/cousin despite her complex.
Also, the character is characterized as having some kind of brown skin and thick curly black hair or something very similar. She's very feisty and starts fights with main guy.
It might be part of a sequel, the second book.
